- ftm4234 contributionsSuperb views - and first bear sighting! Can't fault this trip! Apart from seeing our first ever black bear, grazing on the lower slopes underneath our gondola, the views from the top are spectacular. A great introduction for us to British Columbia.Visited September 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 2 October 2023
- Ginges_revengeBrisbane, Australia5,860 contributionsA long scenic gondola trip between Whistler and Blackcomb mountainsThis is a fairly new gondola that runs between the Whistler and Blackcomb ski mountains. Its 4.4 kms or 2.73 miles between the stations, takes 11 minutes and 1 cabin arrives every 49 seconds at each station. There are glassed bottom gondolas on the system and you can line up for these at designated places in the gondola building. There is a different line up area for the standard gondola's. The views are amazing over the ski fields and the mountains and also over the valley below are excellent. Its a very smooth ride and well worth taking. This is included in your mountain Epic One Pass / lift ticket. You can get a ticket for going up the mountain and crossing in the gondola for a touristy view even if you're not skiing or boarding. This was actually pretty popular when I was there as a lot of people come up to see the mountains. Its a feat of engineering that is well worth experiencing.Visited March 2024Travelled soloWritten 13 May 2024
- SSomervilleHobart, Australia2 contributionsRustic Cabin in the woodsWe really enjoyed our stay in the Rustic Cabin. Nestled in the trees it felt like we were in another world. We sat outside and tended our fire pit enjoying some red wine! The room was great with a water fountain , kettle and coffee machine. The bed was comfortable with good pillow options. While the park is nestled between the Trans Canada highway and the rail line, the room was well insulated and there was no impact to us overnight in fact we slept later than we usually do! It was a bit boggy and muddy due to recent rains and the site is obviously going through an expansion with construction of additional cabins underway. Once this is complete it will be even better.Visited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 8 June 2024
- Marjolein vPorec, Croatia142 contributionsAwesome view! What an amazing view! The high treetops and yet the gondola is so much higher! On the way to the other peak we first had a real cloudy morning. Coulnt see the peaks and went right trough the clouds! Still amazing!!! On or way back the clouds had cleared, sun was shining and the view was amazing! And you dont need the glass floor gondola to see how amazing everythig is. Can see just as wel in a normal gondala carrige.Visited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten 4 July 2024
- Lynn WLocks Heath, United Kingdom36 contributionsBrilliant experienceEven though the cloud was low we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and were up the mountain for hours! Went up to Blackcomb Mountain via gondola, across peak2peak gondola. Walked for 10 minutes to the chairlift. At the top there was a suspension bridge and short walk. After returning down chair lift walked around. Went back across to Blackcomb on peak2peak gondola and returned on glass bottomed gondola as queue was shorter for return. Afterwards returned down to Whistler Village and saw a black bear walking beneath the gondola. Brilliant.Visited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 4 July 2024
- Linn G1 contributionGreat experienceWell worth the price considering there were multiple gondola rides, including the sky bridge at the very top. You can take the Peak2Peak ride as many times as you want, as long as you allow time. Our teen/young adult kids loved it. Do be prepared to walk a bit once you arrive at Whistler mtn, to get to the ski lifts (which take you up to the bridge). Pack a picnic and eat at f the stops!Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 11 July 2024
- Natalie S2 contributionsGreat Views and Hiking!A little expensive, but hey it is Whistler! Views are great, the gondola ride is so relaxing and it takes you to the top of the mountain where you can access the hiking trails! Totally worth going and if you don't want to drive, remember to try the Skylynx bus to Whistler to get here.Visited July 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 12 July 2024
- Keithy1970Kingston-upon-Hull, United Kingdom311 contributionsWhat a view, what a rush.It doesn't matter which way you do it, up Whistler and across to Blackcomb or the other way, you can use the ticket to go peak to peak all day long. We went up Whistler as we wanted to do a couple of the walks, unfortunately only the ice walls one was open, we then had lunch in the restaurant before I put on my big boy pants, been a little vertically challenged when up so high. But boy was I glad I did it, what an experience, the views are simply breath taking.Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 12 July 2024
- KayDawn97Arizona588 contributionsWorth itWe kept going back and forth on it since it is expensive but it was so worth it. Absolutely gorgeous. Right now, a lot of the scenic seats in the cafe on Blackcomb are closed for construction work so we didn’t stay up there long. There are walking trails on both mountains as well. Free water and bathrooms on both. If you wanted to save some money and you choose to only do one mountain I recommend Whistler. But the gondola from blackcomb to Whistler is so fun especially if you wait for a glass bottom (not the whole bottom just a rectangle in the middle). Whistler has the Olympic rings and a bar outside with a gorgeous view. I think doing blackcomb to Whistler was the better way to do it if you’re trying to decide.Visited July 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 16 July 2024
- BestDreamcatcherSt. Albans, United Kingdom231 contributionsAn enjoyable experienceDid the Blackcomb/Peak2Peak/Whistler loop. The Peak 2 Peak bit was really quite an experience and a litle scary if you are afraid of heights. At the top of the Whistler Gondola we sat outside the bar for ages in the sun and drank in the views. We had a really nice time! And we could watch England win in the Euro semi final.Visited July 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 25 July 2024

My family of four (me, wife, kids aged 7 and 4) took the Peak2Peak on a cloudy, drizzly weekday. The good news: there were no lines, we had the gondola all to ourselves on both trips we took and there were no crowds at the top of either mountain (in fact, we hardly ran into any people at all!). The bad news: most of the hiking trails were closed and the experience was quite expensive.
The Blackcomb Gondola right outside our hotel was closed due to a mechanical failure so we walked into the village and took the Whistler Village Gondola up soon after opening (10:00 AM). We had planned to do some hiking at the top but only one trail was open: the Spearhead Loop. It was a disappointing walk, less than 1 km with little to see other than a water reservoir and a backhoe shoveling dirt and snow. We took the Peak2Peak shortly after to see what Blackcomb had to offer; luckily a few more trails were open there (although many closed) and we had a nice, short, kid-friendly hike on the Alpine Loop (with Fitzsimmons Lookout Loop). The gondola ride itself was fantastic; even with cloudy/foggy conditions obscuring the view, we were delighted with what we could see.
I rated the experience 3/5 (Average) because it was really expensive: $200 for the family, and that's with my four year-old riding for free! At that price, they could have at least kept a few more trails open so that folks had something to do/explore at each peak. I highly recommend to all fellow travelers to plan their visit on a clear, sunny day if at all possible.

Price per person somewhat expensive, however if you have the time to spend at the top, the views and unique vantages make it worth it. While you can only ride UP from the village once on your day pass, you are allowed to ride across from Peak to Peak as many times as you are willing to line up for. Lines were short when we went (it was also very hot). Even though no additional lifts were open (extreme heat) there was still hours of hiking to do up the road to the top of Whistler, between the drifts of melting snow. We cooled off in, and drank from, clear streams of water from snow melt. Breathtakingly beautiful. I did find maps confusing for a first-timer, especially since there are SEVERAL inukshuks - so beware using one of them as your landmarks. One highlight was spotting a mother bear and her cub from the gondola on our decent.

Great experience.
The staff did an amazing job with the COVID restrictions and cleaning.
There is a bit of a wait due to the amount of gondolas in use but it was not an issue at all and a small price to pay to mitigate the contact with others.
The ride itself is smooth, quiet and beautiful. We did this trip a few times after purchasing a yearly pass. It was wonderful to go up the mountain, take the Peak to Peak and do some hiking then come back down for lunch.
Absolutely stunning. Wonderful staff.
We ended our first night by watching the YouTube documentary on how it was built. That was a neat experience.

The website makes it complicated to understand (in my opinion) so i will break it down i a form in which i wish someone broke it down for me. The Peak 2 Peak gondola travels between the two peaks of Blackcomb mountain and whistler mountain. You will need to take the gondolas that take you up to one of the mountains and the down the other. The final trip back down is 5pm in summer. There are trails at the tops of the mountains and restaurants and skiing and mountains biking. All three gondola rides are included in the ticket and each provides its own unique sights. Highly recommended, more so than the sea to sky gondola.

It is definitely a experience for tourist that are not used to mountain scenery. It may be expensive (approx $80/person), it is memorable and not a gouge as running any gondola's is a very expensive business. Took lots of pictures. Restaurant at top has good fast food and COVID-19 protocols followed. Don't go if it isn't a sunny day, and even in the summer when it's hot in the village, take a sweater or jacket because it can be very windy and cold at the top.

Seats around 25 people comfortably. Built 2008 ok believe. Best to board on clear days to see the beauty of the creek. Takes around 15 minutes and even in February there was no queuing.
Get the peak2peak from blackcomb and ski across to 7th heaven lift (take expressway to get there). Come down the Upper Panorama,Lower Cloud Nine, Subset Boulevard, lower gear jammer and Village Run to end any sunny day in perfect fashion. Simply stunning
Supposedly one of the cars is glass bottom. Cool but the best views are looking out of the huge windows

Buy tickets online, Ride up the Gondola on Blackcomb (17 mins approx). Stunning views. Up top, we took a 30 min stroll around the Alpha Loop as had young kids ages 9-5. A little bit of up and down the path, but amazing views. Must wear runners and bring a light sweater in summer. Then rode Peak to Peak (11 mins) which was great. Once at Whistler Mountain side, stop for a drink/light snacks and then enjoy the Gondola down (20-25 mins) where you can see the Mountain bikers ride the course. Good 2-2.5 hour activity for all ages. Go up early at 10 to avoid the line ups and rush.

If you want amazing views across both Whistler & blackcomb mountains & beyond, this is for you. Buy a sightseeing pass you can get right up to the top on one gondola, then do the peak to peak... we have done borh glass bottom & normal (always a long wait for glass bottom) your personal choice both give you amazing views.
You can also do the top of the mountain (suspension bridge) open gondola, not for small children & unless your skiing/snowboarding I'm not sure if you can in winter . Bit of a walk to it BUT Unbelievable views from the top. Not the best return if you're scared of heights & all open so keep personal possession safe.
Well worth doing & all included in price.
We travelled over on peak to peak & travelled back down the mountain on blackcombe gondola to upper village. Also a way to see down that mountain.
Best part we saw a mama bear 🐻 and her 2 cubs. Gorgeous sight.
Not cheap BUT a must do trip on a clear day.

I spent a lot of time going back and forth on which gondola to go on - Peak 2 Peak or Sea to Sky. We ended up doing both. I ended up enjoying Peak 2 Peak more, which I was surprised by. It is expensive though - $99 CAD (not including taxes/fees). We went in mid-July and purchased our tickets online the day before. We thought this would allow us to skip a line but we still had to wait in line to pick up the tickets, which kind of defeated the whole purpose. We visited on a Saturday just after 10 AM when in opened and people were already lining up.
I initially thought you just take a gondola ride up to the top, and that would be it. But nope. It's called Peak to Peak because you're taking a gondola from the peak of Whistler to the peak of Blackcomb (DUH). You can choose to go up either on the Whistler side, or the Blackcomb side. The ticket is good for a roundtrip, and you can cross peak to peak as many times as you want. We went up on the Whistler side (about a 10-15 minute gondola ride), and that is the mountain with more things to do. There's a gift shop/restaurant/bathrooms at the top, the Olympic rings, and the highlight - the Cloudraker bridge, which is a suspension bridge. But in order to get to the suspension bridge, you have to hike about 15 minutes to the chairlift. The trail opens at 11, and a lot of people (including us) were waiting for it to open, so you can beat the rush - which I recommend doing. It's a beginner trail but there are quite a bit of loose pebbles and slopes. I was able to do it at 6 months pregnant, but I definitely needed to hold onto my husband. From there, the chairlift is about 5 minutes up to the bridge. Once you take all your pictures, you head back down on the ski lift and hike back to the main area. From there, you can cross to Blackcomb Mountain. There was not much on that side except for a gift shop, restaurants, and bathrooms. There was also a huge school trip so we didn't stay long because we didn't want to get stuck behind them. We didn't end up going down on the Blackcomb side but just took the gondola back to the Whistler side to head down.
We spent about 3 hours doing everything. It was worth the experience, and probably the highlight of my trip. So if you're on the fence of visiting (my main reason was the price), I would say just do it. You won't get many opportunities like this one.

On a Sunday. Beautiful fall day. Whistler lifts were closed so it was necessary to take the Blackcomb gondola up to the top to catch the Peak2Peak. Walked around the top of Blackcomb before taking the Peak2Peak to the Whistler Peak. There are two special gondolas on the Peak2Peak run that have a "glass bottom". It's only a small area of the floor, maybe 3ft square or slightly rectangular in the center of the floor surrounded by a metal railing that one has to stand by and look down. You cannot stand on it. Those two cabins are about 15 minutes apart on the line. There are about 15 other cabins on the run that have a regular floor. The line to get on the glass floor cabin is really long and they cram about 20 people in there so you cannot move around. There's no line to get on a regular cabin and those come every minute or so. No waiting. If you should choose to ride the regular style cabins, there's only a few people in it and you can walk around as you choose and look at the view from anywhere in the cabin. Honestly, the view in the glass bottom is not any better than the regular style cabins. Not worth waiting. Once you get to the Whistler Peak you can hike around and then have snack or lunch at the restaurant, take great pics and then ride the Peak2Peak back to Blackcomb and then take the little gondola back down to the North Village. The Peak2Peak only operated on the weekends and holiday Monday and will close on Oct 10th and with the Whistler lifts closed it's necessary to do a round trip. When the Whistler lifts are operating you can go from either Whistler or Blackcomb, up to the peak, take the Peak2Peak gondola to the other mtn and take a different lift back down. Personally I liked being on the Peak2Peak twice. No more $ to do it that way.

Posing the question of discounts/promotions of peak to peak gondola ride for two adults?
Written 30 June 2024
You need to jump on their website to look at these. When you are at the kiosk buying the ticket, its a set price.
If you are also spending a lot of cash on holidays getting there and want to see it, its value is pretty good for the experience already.
Hope this helps.

Does the pass include all gondolas or just Peak to peak? I'm just planning my visit and can only seems to locate the 360, but I'd like to ride the others too.
Written 24 June 2022
Officially the Peak2Peak ticket entitles you to one round trip up from either village and back down to either village, plus as many trips as you like back and forth across the valley in the actual gondola. However, I was told informally that you could in fact return to the village and then go back up again if you want. You are unlikely to want to do that. There is much to occupy you up there, notably the Sky Bridge at Whistler’s peak.
One gondola crossing (4km) only takes about 11 minutes, but allow not less than 2 hours for the whole village to village experience.
By the way, in case you don’t know, the non-red gondolas have a transparent section in the floor, which allows you to look straight down 1400ft to the valley floor. While that freaks out some, others cannot wait for the thrill.

I am coming to whistler on 17th june 2022 and wish to travel on the peak to peak sightseeing. I notice the p2p gondola is closed on blackcolm. what can i do then ? go up from whistler then across on the peak to peak but come down to via the gondola to upper village and walk back to whistler? any other options?

You should be able to go to Blackcomb on the Peak to Peak, go for a walk and signtsee on Blackcomb, then take the Peak to Peak back to Whistler. The Peak to Peak goes in both directions.
Written 4 May 2022
It depends what you do when you get to the top. They have a restaurant on either side, lots of hiking. The actual peak to peak ride is maybe 10-15 minutes.

I will vacation in BC in september 2021 and intend to do the Peak2Peak Experience. I am confused which of the lifts (Blaackcomb Gondola, 7th Heaven Express Chair, Peak Chair and Cloudraker Skybridge) normally operate in september, which of those rides are included in the ticket and how early do they start operating?
Written 19 October 2020
You can go up either mountain (Whistler or Blackcomb) and then take the gondola across to the other mountain. We took the blackcomb gondola up, the peak2peak gondola across, and the Whistler village gondola down. I don’t know what will be open next September, for 2020 the 7th heaven, peak chair, and cloudraker were closed).

Hey I bought my lift tickets for next Thursday at 11am. What does this time represent? Is it the time I booked to get from Whistler Village to the mountain?
Written 26 August 2020
Due to covid they are staggering entry options. Yup can print/pick up your tickets anytime, and you are allowed to board anytime 11-12p on the day you booked. It will only be your group in the gondola. Enjoy!

We are heading to Whistler next week and plan to do the peak to peak experience.
How much time should we plan to be up there for? My hubby isn't a big hiker, so it will be more just seeing the sites. Are there usually long waits to get on the lifts?
Thanks in advance!

Hi, sorry that this reply might be too late to be helpful.
I would budget 2 hours for the full peak2peak "triangle" (up one mountain, peak2peak, down the other mountain) if you think you'll only spend a few minutes at the top of each peak looking around. I would recommend the Alpine Loop hike at the top of Blackcomb; it's suitable even for non-hikers since it has very flat terrain and offers some pretty nice views (it would only take you 20-30 minutes walking at a leisurely pace). Have fun!

What lifts do you take to get down blackcomb after doing the peak 2 peak gondola ride?
Thank you
Written 10 July 2020
Don’t recall name.
There are only two peaks. Whistler and Blackcomb Take the main gondola up to whistler peak where the Olympic rings are at. This is where the larger restaurant is located and where the sunrise breakfast is held. Great pkg combo.
Take the gondola from there to whistler, only one. Largest suspended cable system.
Awesome ride and lucky if there are some clouds that you can disappear into, then emerge out of, but wait for the gondola that has the glass bottom to go on. Stand in designated line for that.
From there you take that gondola down to Blackcomb village.
