An awesome place to take your family for some interactive science fun! The staff here is exceptional and the exhibits are fun and enjoyable for the bigger kids as well as the younger. The upstairs has cool features like the gyro chair, a planetarium and lots of exhibits that are hands on. It is a lot smaller than the centres in Vancouver or Calgary but it is definitely worth a visit when you are in Vernon. They also host birthday parties and science camps in the summer. Worth the trip!

This is a good place to take children.
Educational and fun. We were fortunate to be there on a day that The Bug Guy was there. He was informative and answered questions readily.
Nice for Vernon to have this great place to educate kids.

This place would not be the same without kevin the science guy. He was great on a recent school function. Perfect balanced of humor...education and hands on learning.

We were on a family holiday in Kelowna and saw the Dinosaur exhibition advertised and thought we would take our 9 year old along. We paid for a family ticket $30 and wee extremely disappointed as nothing in the museum actually worked! The exhibition had a few dinosaurs in it but that was it. We went upstairs and the place was dirty and the scientific tests had pieces missing and most didn't work. My daughter was deeply disappointed and we only say yes maximum 1/2 hr. we spoke to the girl at reception on the way out and she asked us what things didn't work? Honestly, they should have known that most of them didn't work! There wasn't even an offer of our money back. Please don't waste your time here it's not worth it

A great indoor learning experience for both young and old. As Grandparent, we were looking for places to entertain our Grandchildren - especially indoors on rainy days.

We went to spend a few hours in Vernon and were advised by locals to go. Amazing hand son computer table and space stuff. Also an area of local history, so an impressive array of displays.

The Okanagan Science Centre, located in Vernon BC, packs a lot of fun education into a two floors worth of space. There's a little bit of everything to intrigue anyone. During our visit, we explored displays teaching about the municipal water system, a flight simulator, Keva building planks, space exploration, and electricity. Everything is designed for kids to learn hands-on, and while the facility is small, it packs a lot of educational opportunities in without wasting any space.
If you're passing through Vernon and need a little bit of time indoors to escape the heat or just to get off the road for a while, a visit to the Okanagan Science Centre for an hour or two will definitely help recharge you!

What a beautiful facility. We spent the afternoon learning and creating at this wonderful place. Your staff is friendly and the place is clean and lots of fun! Love the toilet fountain :) We have a membership to our own museum at home so there was no charge.... what a great bonus!

The Science Centre is an educational and fun hands-on place for the young to enjoy an hour or so. It is well laid out and changes exhibitions regularly.
