Fisherman's Wharf is a great little community with a number of float homes that are year-round residences as well as food vendors, ice cream shop, fresh fish shop, whale watching & kayak rentals and artist studios as well as a working fisherman's dock. It's one...More

It's a nice place to relax, have coffee or snack, fish and chips while watching the seaplanes take off and land. It's also a place to watch the boats and water taxi. The water taxi actually docks at this place to pick up and drop...More

Improvements have been made to this area and it is a little more gentrified than it used to be. The boat houses all look so good with new paint. The harbour seals don't seem to be here anymore but it may be that people are...More

Very busy place, great atmosphere. The floating homes are interesting to see and Whale watching excursions plus other activity excursions are available to be booked from here.

What a great find! Small place full of eateries and house boats with live entertainment during the day. Take a water taxi across the harbour and you will be pleasantly surprised.

It is neat to see the boat houses and all the other boats and traffic here but it is very touristy. The food is typical for what you would fine anywhere else in Victoria. There are better sit down eating places in the inner harbor.

It's about a 5 block walk. All flat but a good 15 minutes. Might be too far for your Mom although there are many benches to stop and rest in between or you can take a Kabuki cab ( bicycle with trailer)

Some people live at Fisherman's Wharf. So it does not close. The businesses are open throughout the summer.
