We walked down there from our accommodations near China Town, so it was a long walk. The whole way my 9 year old was super pumped to feed and see the seals. Guess what? You're not allowed to feed them anymore, so the seals don't...More

You have to stroll through this area to see the colourful houseboats, see the flowers and grab an ice cream cone, while watching the sea lions beg for fish. Don't stand too close though.

This little community of float homes and restaurants is a staple for visitors to Victoria. The restaurants are always popular and the float homes are so quaint. It is actually cheaper to park here and walk to the inner harbour and surrounding area.

It's a fun place with lots of photo opportunities! It suits children as well as adults. We got quite an interaction with seals. They are incredibly cute and very used to people! It was a nice walk from our hotel. Loved it.

We read on TripAdvisor that we should definitely see the Fisherman's Wharf. We are so glad we did. Walk down the piers and view the houses. They are spectacular. There was one for sale for $425,000.

The wharf itself is small compared to other wharves that I have seen. Scenery is good though. Small houses in different colors. Nice and clean and parking lots are close by. There are some good restaurants on the wharf that offer snack type meals. The...More

We were disappointed in how little there was at fishermans wharf. A candy shop, ice cream place, 4 food stalls, one gift shop and a kayak rental. We did have outstanding Mexican seafood! There are several houseboats, but they are someone's home and it felt...More

Fun place to go in Victoria. People eating and having fun, locals and tourists. Seals, otters, seagulls and boats loads to see and a park nearby for the kids to play on

After an epic whale-watching tour, we soaked up the sun and strolled this vibrant area, photographing the colourful floating homes then stopping for a delicious (sustainable) fish and chips. A highlight was getting up close with a friendly harbour seal - remember not to feed...More

A nice place to visit and see the floating homes and have a light lunch or ice cream. Can be walked from downtown Victoria. It is a nice walk and gives great views of incoming and outgoing ships and seaplanes. A pleasant place to tour.

It's about a 5 block walk. All flat but a good 15 minutes. Might be too far for your Mom although there are many benches to stop and rest in between or you can take a Kabuki cab ( bicycle with trailer)

Some people live at Fisherman's Wharf. So it does not close. The businesses are open throughout the summer.
