We arrived here in the morning, half an hour before the ferry would leave Victoria for Port Angeles. They told us we were not allowed on the boat anymore as we should have been at the gates 2 hours in advance (no one had told us about that and it is not on the website of the ferry company). The... Dear TravelAddict3500, Thank you for taking the time to review our ferry service. We were disappointed to hear that you were unable to find the information about pre-sailing arrival times at our terminal, which also serves as an international border. The information can be found on our website in several places (including under the Travel Info/Drive-on section) as well as... More

We travelled in December when the Washington State ferries don't run to Victoria, BC, Canada. Even with a captive audience they held to the schedule perfectly with precision and professionalism. I wish all businesses operated this well.

Great company and great staff. We use the Blackball Ferry for all our trips to Washington State from Victoria. Pets are allowed and the seating is comfortable. It always runs and always on time! Check schedules as they do shut down for maintenance each year. Great value and you may end up enjoying a guitar or band jam session while... More

It really is a bad bus ride -- one that you have to show up an hour early for. You are not allowed to simply stay in your car. You won't get a good seat and the whole boat will be full of crying babies and screeching children running over your feet. I think I would rather swim to Victoria.... More

Dear ccmccall, Thank you for taking the time to review our ferry service. We are sorry to hear you were disappointed with your experience. When driving on, we ask that customers arrive in Port Angeles one hour before their sailing time, and we begin loading about 30 minutes prior to sailing. This is to assure on-time departures for everyone's convenience.... More

We arrived in Port Angeles to catch ride the Black Ball Ferry Line (the Coho) to Victoria. As we decided to walk on, our first order of business was find parking. There is not a large variety of parking options. There is parking across the street in a small garage and Budget rent-a-car, both at $12 per day. There are... More

While this is an old vessel it is kept in good shape and appears clean. The coffee shop is very minimal and we usually only buy a beverage as the food is not too appetising. I recommend bringing some food for the ride! They offer a duty free kiosk for smokes and alcohol but I've never checked out the prices.... More

Took this Ferry over to Victoria for a quick get a way. The ride back was accompanied by a beautiful sunset.

This is an efficiently run ferry line that makes the ride to and from Canada enjoyable. Plenty of seating, a small food area and gift shop offer some modest choices. Dogs are allowed on board and all owners had complete control of their pets on the days that we had reservations. The fact that the Coho Ferry drops you off... More

The ferry was on time and very well run coming and going to Victoria from Port Angeles. We enjoyed hot cocoa and playing cards while cruising. It made the time go by so quickly. I liked that when any dogs started barking, announcements were made to put barking dogs back in their cars.
