We arrived in Vancouver on a Saturday night fully expecting to wait a long time for food, we ventured out to Gastown for a glimpse of the city and dinner at a brew pub. We put our name on the list for a table for...More

Yes it was Saturday night and yes it was busy, but four meals were ordered and two came out wrong. The salmon was dry and therefore over cooked. The bill was wrong and it took three attempts to get it right. So yes it could...More

Our first night in Vancouver. Where to eat? Why not try this happy noisy place? I had a pizza, Gorgonzola and something, delicious! Beer was good too.

In a prominent tourist area and overlooking the cruise liners this place probably does not have to look for trade. Unsurprisingly we waited some time at the entrance and then moved away until one of the staff saw this and found us a table. This...More

We ordered a 10 tap taster as we couldn’t decide which to have. Great ales and lagers. People were stopping to look at the ten in a row as they were presented so well. We didn’t order food, but dishes looked good.

The atmosphere is really nice and each area has its own niche. There is a classic craft beer/sports bar type area, there is a more upscale area, and we sat in the library area next to a bookshelf. It was fun and different to be...More

A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and
stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of
being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many
