We love to pack a lunch, pack up our bikes and head down to Jericho Beach. There are some beautiful big trees on the grassy area where you plant yourself. Bring your chairs and have a beautiful sunny day reading or just people watching. Flush toilets and showers too.

Jericho Beach and Spanish Banks are marvelous beaches to enjoy the majestic nautical view especially during the summer months. Freighters, sail water craft, cabin cruisers and luxury cruise ships regularly ply the waters enroute to Burrard Inlet. While a bit pricey finger food and drinks are available from the beach concessions. Parking is ample but admitted challenging during the summer... More

the walk along the beach was one of the best in Vancouver. The path were clean and clear. But it can be over crowded on weekends

I have been to Jericho beach many times already and it is nice place to park your car, sleep and just watch the people walking by, watch the nice beach, people having picnics in there as well. People are playing volleyball. What a lovely place to relax and I truly recommend this place.

A very popular beach just west and south of the downtown area of Vancouver, BC. Many people SUP (stand up paddle) here, as well as small sailboats. Actual sand beach. Great for viewing the scenery, including the unbelievable mountain backdrop to Canada's most beautiful city.

We attended the racing at the Park on November 29th, 2014. We have never participated in a more beautiful location. It had snowed a few centimetres and the views of the trees and mountains were gorgeous.

Beautiful beach and park area - away from the pace of english bay and the young types of kits..just a great place for a walk, to enjoy the view, to learn to sail, to relax and view the mountains, stanley park, vancouver city, the north shore etc. Bring your camera, coffee and enjoy the day away in the sun or... go to this beach - walk it, swim there, paddle board and sail there - it is the best beach on English bay. The walk from Kits is wonderful if you have the time - or bike it. On a warmer day, a little romance amongst the log berms is not a bad thing!

Staying in West Point Grey

Neighbourhood Profile
West Point Grey
West Point Grey is one of the city’s oldest neighbourhoods, especially known for its easygoing and admired beachfronts. Locals crowd the Spanish Banks and Jericho Beach, especially in the summer, where a sprawling view of the English Bay awaits. The central village is an oasis of sovereign shops, many of them in local operation for years. The neighbourhood has a more personal feeling to it, and can be a wonderful and much-needed break from the bustle of big-city life, being a little haven of peace and quiet with an almost village temperament in the heart of Vancouver.
