I love Vancouver for, amongst other things, how easy it is to walk around. I was working downtown and staying downtown. It was so nice to be able to walk to work. And, in the evening, you can walk pretty well everywhere. The skyline is...More

Have visited a few times in past 4 years. Love the shopping, the scenery, how easy public transit is and the tourist attractions.

On this business trip I decided to try every sort of transportation- Skytrain, city transit, taxi, harbour ferry and sea bus. All modes were very easy to navigate even for a country bumpkin. I feel quite cosmopolitan now.

As a local in Vancouver, I don't know why this has it's own page. If you travel to Vancouver and don't go downtown I have no idea what you did. Almost every hotel is downtown, most of the attractions, shopping and restaurants too. It's great,...More

Visit Gas Town. This is the old section of Vancouver. Nice place to walk around and have a bite to eat. Many shops and restaurants here. Also visit Canada Place and do experience Fly Over Canada! It is amazing.

We were in Vancouver in August 2017 for a conference and found it was one of our favorite cities that we have visited. Extremely walkable city and we never felt nervous or hesitant while walking around. We probably walked at least 5-10 miles a day...More

I was there in September and I don't believe Vancouver has much snow. We were told many Canadians retire to that area because of the "warmer" winters. However, Whistler has snow almost all year round. It is about 90 min... More
