Multi-media astronomy shows in the Planetarium Star Theatre are enhanced by 20-minute live demonstrations in the GroundStation Canada Theatre that keep you up-to-date on the latest space news. The Cosmic Courtyard ehibit gallery contains a real piece of moon rock you can actually touch, a J-2 Rocket Engine, artifacts and simulations. On Saturday nights you can visit the Gordon MacMillan Southam Observatory right next door and, if the skies are clear, you can see stars and maybe even a planet through the .5 metre Cassegrain telescope.

Was so disappointed by this. The planaterium show was dated, graphics weren't very clear Exhibition hall - yes just the one - was tired and dated. Several of the interactives didn't work And there weren't many exhibits anyway Greatly disappointed

I took my family here today. We saw the show "surfing the solar system". The auditorium was packed with kids as it's spring break. You could barely hear the narrator, not because the kids were loud, but because he talked in an unenthusiastic, boring tone. The show itself was all over the map with no rhyme or reason. Hopefully this... More

The space centre was pretty small, but has a lot of information. The planetarium was pretty decent. The show had a lot of outdated and inaccurate facts. (e.g. They said astronomers have never encountered a habitable planet) I would probably not go back.

Very disappointing experience. Ticket for Adult + Child will set you back almost $40, add to this parking: $11 for 3 hours. All this for one (yes, only one!) exhibition room, with very tired exhibits, probably from the nineties. The girl doing science shows it trying her best, but showing grainy movies from the ISS on a screen smaller than... More

I had great expectations when we entered but everything minus their video on the 3rd floor. The displays on the base floor and video are early 1990s even with the presenter being on the top of their game. I don't know what the Vancouver exhibit offered but don't waste your money on the Space Center.

Okay so we decided to go here on a whim with it being a typical rainy Vancouver day. Haven't been here since I was a kid. Let's start with the price $56.80 for two adults and two children our third was free as she was 4. We went to the theatre they have for a show about exploring space. Aside... More

There was no movie/show as promised but some really monotonous woman talked at the kids on their field trip for 35 minutes. Everything is super outdated. This place should be free and even then I would never return.

We saw the show surfing the solar system. This show is so out of date and so are all of the exhibits in this building. Our kids were so unengaged that we left halfway through the movie. They are seven and eight years old and should have been wild just by the dome-shaped theater. Unfortunately this facility needs a huge... More

I loved the Colour show with gases and explosions. The show host came to shake our hand at the end and I finish having a very nice talk to her. The Planetarium is great and I'll be back for sure!

This place and its exhibits are really outdated. Even some of the interactive exhibits are broken and probably have been for years. The language used on the educational plaques for each exhibit is out of date and needs to be kid friendly. Old video interview's of Lenard Nimoy playing in a dead end dark room with bad sound is somewhat... More
