On our way to the Roedde House Museum, we stopped off to enjoy the Barclay Heritage Square which is adjacent. On a sunny afternoon is was a delightfully peaceful area to stroll and enjoy the planting before sitting and relaxing on the provided seating. Not...More

As an architecture buff, I enjoyed a walk around this West End square's perimeter to look at the exterior of homes built here between 1890 and 1908. This assortment of wood buildings that ring the square is a real treat in a city where high-rise...More

I am Glad that these restored houses on a landscaped park like city block still exists. It shows off what the West End really looked like at the turn of the century. Visit Rohde house for a tour of a typical wealthy 1902 home of...More

Came across this quite close to our hotel and it is like a time warp of how life must have been before the arrival of sky scrapers. Several wooden buildings with a green area which looks like a pleasant place to sit and relax

The most noteworthy aspect of this square is not so much the square itself but rather the restored old houses in the immediate vicinity.

A blast from the past in a skyscraper city. Beautiful heritage houses with cherry blossom trees lining the square.

Interesting restored old Vancouver homes to view, weddings are sometimes held here. They are actually located at Barclay and Broughton Streets.

A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines
verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with
Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a
paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and
