These little boats look barely large enough to hold the skipper, much less passengers. However, they are cute and fun and a great way to see False Creek. They are not part of the public transit system so you pay separately.

We were a bit skeptical about the size of the boat. The staff were great and it was such a fun (and cute!) way to explore the city. Very sad we only found out about it our last day in Vancouver. Next time we'll probably buy a booklet of tickets and use it as our primary transportation.

The Seabus is the more common name. Its practical and reliable also affordable. The only thing is that the bus depot at Lonsdale Quay does not always have a connecting bus to your next destination!

This was an easy way to get to and from Granville Island. We didn't do the whole loop, but it was easy to just go between the island and the downtown station.

There were a total of 6 in my group including two small children. This is a fantastic way to get to several points around Van. harbour. It is also a great sight seeing adventure. The price is fair including senior rates. The wait times are short and the operators on the aquabuses are very pleasant and accommodating. A great addition... More

What a cheap way to see the harbour. I absolutely loved it as it is a beautiful way to get to shopping and eateries of North Van. No parking fees no traffic congestion. The quay offers a lot of eclectic shops and great eating once you land. If you can walk up the street and look for sushi Bella you... More

This was a fun little way to travel around VC while taking in the views from a different prospective. The price was reasonable, the captain was friendly, and they let my dog on board. What more could you ask for? :)

Good acces to several Vancouver attractions. We went at night and lit up city highlighted by the "science ball" was appreciated by our boatload. Be prepared with hat, extra layer. Colder than walking even though there are clear curtains around the boat.

Took the aqueous twice, once to Granville and then from the island to Yaletown. Great way to get to and from the island but also see the city.

Took the Aquabus to get to Granville Island and this boat ride was our highlight. A fun, different way to travel while seeing the sights. Cheap with a lot of pickup locations. Recommend every visitor to try!

Staying in Granville Island & Fairview

Neighbourhood Profile
Granville Island & Fairview
One of the favoured neighbourhoods for a day out, Granville Island's packed theatres and art studios, hobby shops and book stores, restaurants and bars, all offer a plethora of activities and entertainment options, leaving no one bored. The highlight of the area is the Fisherman's Wharf, where the seagulls overhead and the smell of the sea invigorate its many visitors, some of who are there to shop the fresh wares at the public market, and others of whom have arrived to take in the eclectic atmosphere. A popular seafood destination, and Vancouver's leading spot for improv and amateur theatre, Granville Island is an indulgent, welcoming entertainment centre in any season or time of day.
