Beautiful area of Vancouver. Take long walks along the magical seawall but expect it to be quite busy in the summer months. You can also swim right there at English Bay in the cool waters around July & August. Jog or bike your way. Keep in mind pedestrians have the right-of-way in this gorgeous but expensive city.

Definitely worth the walk down Denman St. A much more calm and quaint look and feel than the rest of downtown. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby to grab a coffee or a snack.

Stopped here to catch a few Pokemon, see the sights and take some pictures. We came after dinner and it was very cold and windy, otherwise we would have walked around a little longer. Plent of benches, good bike/running/walking paths and varying art to see. I could only imagine it being that much better on a waem day or night.... More

What can I say about Stanley Park that has not already been said. To me it is an oasis in the constant thrum of the city. You can choose to walk the seawall or stroll the paths and enjoy a variety of flowers and gardens depending on the time of year. There are ponds with beautiful Swans,Ducks aand Geese. If... More

Whodathunkit? North of the 49th parallel most people think snow and ice but English Bay beach has it all with great eateries up and down Davie and Denman Streets and only a couple of hotels in the vicinity this place is popular with the locals and visitors alike. 22 million visitors passed through Vancouver in 2016 and im sure a... I always enjoy having a stroll through English Bay - quaint shops, some funky restaurants, pubs, veggie and GF food places and of course tingkits.

English Bay is a lovely walk along the water with beautiful views, vistas and absolutely the best people watching. There are bikes, sun bathers, strollers, in line skaters and more.

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
