Tall bridge.

I guess the big deal is that those with high phobias could get nervous crossing this bridge. I'm not sure how to rate a bridge, but this one handles traffic and appears safe.

The Lions Gate bridge connecting Stanley Park / downtown to North Vancouver is a replica and smaller version of the Golden Gate Bridge in SF. Despite me saying "smaller" don't be fooled it is still a big bridge! It provides great views of the North Vancouver, downtown and Stanley Park. For the best views of it get yourself to the... More

We didn't actually cross the bridge but if you take the walk around Stanley Park, along the Sea Wall then you get a great view of it from both sides and underneath.

This unique bridge is one of the most impressive ones of its kind given its height and design. You will get great views of the skyline from it and if you take a walk in Stanley Park, you will definitely see it from a lot of different interesting angles, by day or by night.

The traffic across can be a killer, but the bridge is gorgeous. Tried to take night pictures but the lights were shut off for the few hours I was there. On my way back to the hotel the lights came back on, but I no longer had time to stop and take pictures. A very elegant bridge.

Amazing span connecting Vancouver with the Northshore I hiked bothways and enjoyed the stunning views while a nice fresh sea air breeze cooled the day.Fishermen and cruise ships were in evidence as well as small float planes overhead! Saw a news report there may be bridge tower tours in the future!

This bridge takes you to west vancouver and north vancouver. Theres only one lane and the middle lane switches at the busy times.

View from the Bridge is nice and is 3 lane. So weekdays and weekend evening it gets too traffic. Otherwise its just a bridge to connect west side and mountains.

Staying in Stanley Park

Neighbourhood Profile
Stanley Park
Stanley Park is Vancouver's premier spot to get up close and personal with nature and animals. The grassy expanse offers outdoor teahouses and stunning views, beachfront hideaways and splash parks. It is a typical getaway spot for friends and families, especially as it is home to Vancouver's aquarium, and some of its best equestrian outlets.
