Good way to see the city

Our tour guide Andy was fantastic! He gave plenty of information with humor and let us nap on the way back! His knowledge of the history and inside information made the trip really fun!

We used WESTCOAST sightseeing in 2015 twice, one trip not as good as previously reviewed and the other which was to Whister was amazing. On my visit back to Vancouver in 2016 I used WESTCOAST sightseeing again. I went on the Whistler tour again was didn't fail to amaze me again. Our guide was very informative and knowledgeable. We also... More

Have been on several hop-on/hop-on buses and this one is just average. It's a great way to see a bunch of the city in a short time. I recommend riding all the way around before hopping off. Once you've made a circuit, decide what you want to see more of (Stanley Park) and ride back to that stop. Vancouver is... More

The tour we took was expensive. Just over $200 for two riders. Driver was about 30 minutes late, but he was great. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Only made three stops. One at Stanley park, one at the Capilano bridge and one at Cranville Island. The stop at Cranville, I felt was way too short. We barely had enough time to... More

We did the West Coast Hop On Hop Off Bus and it was pretty good. We got lucky with the weather. We had a day of sunshine and no rain during the holidays. The bus kept us warm. The seats are pretty comfortable. The route was good. It is a very good way to see the city and get an... More

We also recommend Westcoast Sightseeing for the Whistler Snow Bus, as our return trip with a different company was cancelled and we had to book a return trip... More

I want to start this off by saying that I've never made a review on trip advisor- but this seemed appropriate. The SnowBus from Vancouver to Whistler was not only the most affordable mode of transportation that I have ever taken- but also the one with the best customer service. My reservations agent for this trip was Pam. Pam, being... More

The tour was amazing, frequent stops for lots of picture taking, and a great tour guide, named Herman...he is very knowledgeable about all the highlights of the tour and so very funny too. The Capilano Canyon Lights park was so beautifully lit up, the walk across the bridge was okay too. Lots of people and easy to get around. LOTS... More

What a great tour of Vancouver and Victoria! Our tour guide Jeff was a rich resource of information. We particularly appreciated his First Nations perspective. It was a treat to enjoy the Buchart Gardens with the special Christmas light display. Even as a tourist in our own city, we really enjoyed this. Highly recommend this.

Staying in Gastown

Neighbourhood Profile
Gastown
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
