Beautiful exhibit - I learned a lot about Bill Reid and also looked for his sculpture in Vancouver airport. Beautiful works or art and jewelry. Great history of indigenous people.

Excellent examples of Bill Reid's jewellery work, from his reawakening of his native heritage to his mastery of design in that art form. This museum has many of his wife's personal pieces, as well as a retrospect of his other work, including the plans and...More

It’s an easy walk across the street from the Hyatt Hotel. The museum is lovely but the architecture from the outside is outstanding. I also took time to walk through and survive n the gardens. Be sure to visit this gallery during your trip.

Bill Reid's carvings in jade, wood, and silver are stunning on their own, but to have a single building dedicated to his work and his influence, is an honour for our city. A must-see on every visitor's list, in my view.

While doing my research for this trip, I came across Bill Reid's work, and became an immediate fan. This gallery did not disappoint. Apart from the Bill Reid sculptures and other First Nations artists, it is a wonderful space, with the art beautifully displayed. Well...More

Bill Reid is essentially omnipresent in any discussion of First Nations artists, and with good reason. This small but choice gallery displays the breadth of his talent both from artworks and documentary films. It also bears mention that the small but choice gift shop has...More

What is very clear after touring this gallery is the influence Bill Reid had on so many other artists. You are left with the impression of a very talented but humble man who used his art to communicate his pride in his indigenous roots. I...More
