Long Beach, the longest beach of Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, spans an extraordinary 16km (10mi) along the west coast of Vancouver Island. Described by locals to be magical, you will be astonished by the amount of life that call the tidal pools home. You will be sure to find crabs, shells, starfish, sea urchins and much more.

As the surf comes crashing in, you will find surfers from around the world carving through the peaks of the waves. As the water settles, it gracefully rides up the beach with peaceful trickles and shimmering light from the breathtaking sunset crossing the colourful horizon.

Long Beach is truly a rejunivating getaway for all ages. Whether you're looking to kickback, explore, adventure, hike, surf, or just take one of those long walks on the beach, Long Beach has it all.

Fabulous beach, beautiful ocean waves and sand you feel like you are in Hawaii on a hot day. Summer, Fall or winter this place is amazing. You won't be disappointed. Kids had a blast playing in the water and building sandcastles and exploring the surrounding areas.

The views here are fantastic, the waves, sea life and buzz about the beach is great. The surfers here keep you entertained, they definitely have more courage than me to try surf in those waters.

An amazing length of beach with lots of driftwood logs and really interesting seaweed formations washed up on shore. Great for kids and dogs as some of the logs have been made into forts. Washroom facilities although they were closed when we were there due to vandalism. Unfortunate but true. Well worth a visit.

We stayed at the Long Beach Resort and I can't begin to say what a wonderful experience it was. Why leave Canada to vacation when there is a place like this to enjoy. The staff make you feel so welcomed, you are sad to leave. Food in the restaurant is delicious, healthy and presented like a piece of art work.... More

This is a fantastic beach, particularly for surfing, but also for long walks all year round, A fantastic natural refuge.

Beautiful long beach. Spectacular sunsets. Wonderful driftwood sculptures. The fog only adds to the beauty.

Beautiful beach to visit all year round. In the winter there are surf competitions to watch! Great beach to walk on or sit and people watch or wave watch.

Outstandingly beautiful, great walking. On this trip we visited Wickaninnish, Long and Chesterman Beaches, with shorter walks at Mackenzie Beach and the Wild Pacific Trail (last 2 outside the Pacific Rim National Park). Great weather made these walks even more enjoyable. We've seen this coastline in all sorts of weather and it never ceases to amaze.

we lucked out having perfect weather in Dec - blue cloudless skies; it was perfect for a long walk on the beach (took about 2 hours one way end to end for us). Saw a couple surfers a few people out with their dogs - pretty much had it to ourselves. Beautiful
