Came here on a Sunday, we were the only ones at the top! The view is incredible and a great picnic spot. Only complaint is the drive up can be rough, there were a few fallen trees. Be sure if you come here on a rainy day you have a 4x4 vehicle, as it will be very difficult to get... More

Hope for a clear night to see the sunset, but it was totally socked in when we got there and seeing the clouds clear and the view unfold was pretty spectacular and made for some neat photos!

Was able to make it up the gravel road to the top in a small sports car! Amazing! Next time will hike the park and start earlier! Top notch views of the Olympic mountains, Vancouver Island, Cowichan Bay, and Fulford Harbour. Great place for a photo op and to get an appreciation of the landscape.

Incredible views. Road is less than I would of expected for a provincial park, but I guess maintenance is an issue with the weather.

This is a wonderful option for hiking with vistas, forests and uncrowded trails.Park on the way, or at the top. There are many well marked options. Enjoy the trip.

We were short on time so we drove to the top on a whim. A soft, misty cloud was climbing the face of the mountain and working its way through the forest. At the top, there is an incredible view of Burgoyne harbour. Best views we saw during our trip to Salty. Gave some locals a hitchhike ride to the... More

Great drive up, you can then take the paths walk around. Beautiful view of the islands and on a sunny day you can see very far! It's a must!

At the top, a short walk out to amazing views looking over Burgoyne Bay, the Gulf Islands and the distant San Juan Islands - amazing! You also look down into the farming valley. Beautiful. Well worth the rough steep road getting to the top - not for RVs or a vehicle with trailer.

This mountain park on Salt Spring has amazing views to the north west around to the south east. you can see down into the USA San Juan islands and out over Vancouver Island. Plenty of parking at the peak and lots of hiking trails. There are washrooms. The road is pretty rough so make sure your vehicle has some ground... More

Had the opportunity to visit Mt Maxwell while on Saltspring island, the views are amazing, to the mountians to the south in the states to watching the BC Ferrys darting between the gulf islands, well worth the trip.
