RED Mountain is the last great, unspoiled resort. Located in Rossland, BC, along the famous "Powder Highway," RED delivers 4,200 acres of pristine skiing unfettered by overdevelopment. For 2013-14, we've added nearly 1,000 acres of mostly-intermediate terrain on Grey Mountain - an entirely new peak. (Well, OK, Grey's been there for millions of years, but without runs or lifts on it.) With 300"/7.6m of annual snowfall, wide-open groomers, epic vertical (2,919ft/890m!), in-bounds cat-skiing, 360 degree descents off select peaks, a rich tradition, and - phew! - the BEST tree runs in BC, it's no wonder The NY Times voted us their #8 "Best Place in the World to Visit in 2013." Other accolades include #1 in Powder's "Ski Town Throwdown," and "Most Underrated Resort" by Skiing. Around here, we pride ourselves on fresh turns that you don't have to fight for... Aside from the legendary skiing and snowboarding, RED boasts world-class cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, movie nights and après action in Rafters, "North America's Best Ski Area Bar" according to Powder Magazine (and us...). Modern ski in/out lodging, fine dining, a professional ski school, guiding, high-performance rentals, daycare that's just steps away from gourmet espresso, and a free shuttle to Rossland round out our offering. With Rossland's turn-of-the-century charm and our legendarily friendly locals, RED Mountain Resort is the full vacation package: Everything you need. Nothing you don't. (The only fluff we offer is our snow!)

Fantastic skiing, lifts a bit slow, old and unreliable but when you get to the top, its fabulous. Pick your line and ski it. Try a day's Shred the Red, out with an instructor just to see the mountain and try some challenging stuff. Favourite...More

loved this place, terrain is spectacular and varied, snow was great and deep, no lift lines on a weekend (hooray!) day lodge was clean with good food, my drinking friends liked the bar so win win on all counts

In a somewhat isolated location; about 2.5 hours north of Spokane; roads good though. Huge terrain, 2900 ft vertical, clearly veers towards expert skiers. Blue runs would be blacks other places; blacks would be double blacks and many double blacks would easily count as extreme...More

This is my favorite ski hill in the Canadian Rockies. they have fantastic coverage and in some spots knee deep powder. my favorite run is definitely beer belly, great run with powder and awesome glades at the bottom.

Red Mountain Resort is a skier's mountain. It's old school and they like it that way. There are no hi-speed, detach quads; there are no fancy lodges serving $20 lunches; there are no folks hanging out in the Bogner ski suits just to be seen....More

No pool at Red resort.

We are considering a ski trip to Red this winter. Can you tell me if the resort has a pool, and also what the restaurant options are at the ski hill? Thank you.

Restaurant options at the ski hill are limited. There was a new hotel under construction with a target date for next ski season. I did not see any place with a pool. Many had hot tubs.
Anyone know of a better deal on Red Mountain lift tickets other than in advance on their web site? Headed there next Friday just for the day. Thanks!
