Excellent scenic walk through rain forest. Bus is very infrequent, particularly after 30 September. We caught a taxi out there, not expensive, and were waiting for the bus coming back, when a very kind local spotted us and gave us a lift, saving us a half hour wait. Great experience!

This is a great way to escape into nature in Prince Rupert. Just don't expect great views of the rapids. If you time it right, you'll get to see them from a distance. You will be rewarded with an easy forest hike which takes you to a quiet bay and other waterfront beaches.

Only a 5 minute drive from Prince Rupert. Nice walk through woods and along the ocean. Surprised to see signs warning of wolves in the area!

The trail is beautiful It takes about and hour to complete without stopping but you could spend hours just exploring the coast along part of the trail.

good path through the forest to the rapids.... we didn't make it all the way to the rapids as it was getting late and we'd been out on a boat tour and saw the rapids from up close.... very pretty walk!

We got the bus out, which was very easy from Prince Rupert. The walk is quite hilly in places but the path was well maintained and well signed. The trees and plants were dense and very beautiful with signs for those who are interested, explaining the origin and use of different plants. Views over the rapids and grass bay were... More

This is a nice well maintained path travelling through forest with views of the ocean. It is quite close to PR. There are some climbs in spots but overall anybody with a moderate level of fitness can finish it. Takes 2-3 hours.

Prince Rupert is a great place but it has the highest rainfall of anywhere in Canada but don't let this put you off...take a jacket....and what better place than Butze Park to visit.; Get the bus outside the museum and have change($2) or get a day pass; use the ticket to first visit the Cannery at Port Edward and then... The most interesting facet was the huge amount of driftwood on the beaches and the funny little things some folks had left, ie door knocker someone had attached to a stump.
