This is a lovely island with walking trails and beautiful views. Quiet and serene. Makes for a wonderful Sunday walk. The ferry ride is short and really a lot of fun.

Boyfriend and I spent a night at an Airbnb on Protection Island for our anniversary. Everyone we met was so friendly, and the island is beautiful. Cute little place to get away to together for some quiet and alone time.

I went there to have some drinks at the pub but decided to walk around first. There are no pavement roads, not many cars, I would like to have a weekend getaway in this island, to disconnect from the city rush. Highly recommended if you...More

2 of us caught the ferry to the island and found everyone in the waiting room quite friendly whether they were residents or visitors. Dinner at the Dingy Dock was pub style, nothing too fancy, but good atmosphere and great setting

None that I have seen. There may possibly be a B&B, but I saw no signs at the landing, so I doubt there is anything. There is plenty in Nanaimo, however.
