A great ride over and a fantastic walk through the area along paths. Signs telling you about what the island history is. Very enjoyable hiking or relaxing.

A short ferry ride from Nanaimo, this park would be a very welcome sight for exhausted parents. Lots of open space for kids to run around in and many nature walks.

It was amazing walking around. 5 to 6 kms walking in a very nice atmosphere and fresh air. Sandy beach as shown in pictures and lovely view. Ferry timings are on schedules, however, it were busy going pack to nanaimo.

10 minute boat ride across Nanaimo harbor. A relaxing islet with fewer people and lot of space around. Walked through the woods and later took a dip in the crystal blue waters. There are camping sites but we didn't camp. A great place for spending...More

Most of the trails are bike-friendly. There are a few branches off the main trails where you'll want to either dismount or just put the bike away. But, generally, the island is OK for bikes.
