We live on this lake and do not take it for granted. Hardly a day goes by and you see the lake. You are never very far from the lake in Kelowna. There are many excellent restaurants on the lake in Vernon, Kelowna, West Kelowna,...More

The lake is nicely nestled in the valley and provides many picturesque settings. But it kind of gets in the way if you are trying to travel since you have to drive around it. The west side highway running south to penticton gives lots of...More

Visiting the Okanagan is true bliss. In summer the weather is lovely and warm, vineyards offer not only great wine but sumptuous meals and the atmosphere is that of relaxation. Besides it being a picturesque part of BC with 135km of greatness to view.

Can't wait to take another swim, pinic on the shore, Kids Never out of the water. Beaches are clean and there is a huge selection of locations to swim.

We normally have been here in summer, however, this time we came in winter and is still beautiful. We didn’t swim, but, still we saw the beautiful lake. The restaurants for the most part are open.

Lake Okanagan is one of the primary lakes in the Okanagan Thompson region of B.C. There are loads of public beaches that are free to visit and swim in. The water is clean and clear and much warmer than some other regions in Canada.
