The lake has been my all time favorite summer activity since childhood. On the way home, our uncle would take the kids for licorice ice cream, and return us to our parents a black sticky mess!! We all loved it. Favorite Beach Gyro!! Have been enjoying the lake every year since the late 1950's

I come here almost everyday, just park and look at the ever changing beauty of a lake that sometimes seems like the sea, other times, calm, colors change. Clean, pristine beaches, vast Vista, mountains all around. Come see. But please, no litter Alberta!

Lots of places to camp, fish, picnic and walk along the shores. Water gets pretty warm during the summer months for swimming. A fun place, but boat launches are pretty busy in the tourist season...

No tourists in September, all the Albertan's go home and the lake is much more peaceful and quiet. .

Visited here for the New Year Day Polar Bear swim. There must have been over 300 hardy souls going into the lake that day where we were. The ground was covered with snow, the temperature -14 and the wind chill on top of that meant we didn't stay long.

I think this is a microclimate that is unusually warm for the area. I know it's gorgeous. I love Canada &... More

I was born here in 1963 and have never left. Why would you? Just look at the place! So much to see and do for free as well as excellent wineries and restaurants.
