The lake is great and perfect for a day out on a boat. You can get a great view of it from Knox Mountain Park.

We visited in April, not prime swimming weather. Lake was cold, I believe glacier fed. The area surrounding the lake changes as you go up lake. The Lake Okanagan Resort is fairly high up and was very quiet and peaceful overlooking the lake.

Pack good shoes, a hat and some sunscreen. Lake Okanagan is simply gorgeous. I have walked along it on a path and this time was no different. I didn't have much time, but I was reminded of how pretty BC is.

I love lake okanagan, there so so much to do on the lake from walking the dog along cedar creek to paddling in the lake in downtown Kelowna. Anyone who visits Kelowna in the summer needs to visit our amazing lake Okanagan.

All I can say is that it is a large body of water and for the fish types caught there I am a poor judge to say... I was only there on a Canadian Rockies Tour and we only stopped for a wine tasting and to see the surrounding... More
