Whether you come for the diverse ski terrain or for the variety of summer activities, Sun Peaks is a haven for recreational fun in a three-mountain alpine area. Located in the Interior of British Columbia, Sun Peaks boasts Canada’s second largest ski area with 4,270 acres of terrain. With 6 meters of light, dry snow falling annually and over 2,000 hours of sun each year, guests enjoy spectacular winter conditions for downhill skiing, snowboarding and cross country skiing. Off the slopes, more winter adventure awaits with dog-sledding tours, snowmobile and snowshoe tours, horse-drawn carriage rides and more. Summer at Sun Peaks offers just as much recreational fun. Sun Peaks is home to BC’s highest elevation golf course. Guests can explore the alpine with lift-access hiking and world-class mountain biking trails, with opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, Segway tours and horseback riding. Sun Peaks’ vibrant European-style village is nestled at the base of Tod Mountain, Sundance and Mt. Morrisey. The village offers a wide selection of accommodations, restaurants and shopping boutiques.

Skied 41 days at sun peaks this year. Grooming was top drawer. Great alloy day terrain. Lift lines less than 5 min. On week days. Best hill in the Okanagan in my opinion by a good margin.

As I understand it, this ski area was started by Nancy Green. Today it is quite surprising how big it is, and yet it is well designed. All the buildings "fit in" and make the village look pretty

The chairlift ride to the mountain meadows is ethereal. And then lots of walking choices through the wildflowers with amazing vistas. Also a popular biking area with some scary looking runs. There is an outdoor public pool, go cart course and weekly actives for all....More

Sun Peaks has a great ski area with many runs and many chair lifts. If you want the niceness of Whistler, but on a smaller, less expensive trip, Sun Peaks is a great choice. Has man options during the summer too.

The road is paved and well-maintained through the winter. Four wheel drive is not necessary for the drive, but snow tires are a requirement on BC Highways. There aren't any RV hook ups at the resort.
