A fun evening canoeing from the Cowichan River to Genoa Bay and back - approximately an hour each way. Vanessa and her crew kept up the paddling when the kids and my 65+ year-old father in law needed to take a break as we all went together in a 10 person canoe. Vanessa and Dwight are excellent guides, expertly leading us on a canoe trip to dinner at Genoa Bay Cafe. We so love their company, that it felt like we were hanging out with old friends. We saw dozens of seals hanging out and slowed to take ample photos. They took us by the osprey nests, but the birds unfortunately did... More

Vanessa and Dwight took children and parents from the Young Naturalist Club of BC out on an amazing voyage of discovery - we had close encounters with lots of seals, as well as an osprey, merganzers, buffle heads, cormorants, and many more birds. Our dinner group of 12 had the pleasure of paddling from Cowichan Bay to the Genoa Bay Restaurant this summer with Dwight and Vanessa. The weather was perfect and our hosts and guides were amazing.
