This was a wonderful large hands on nature center with good educational opportunities. The staff were very helpful. There are numerous varying length walks here too - no dogs or bikes allowed. I saw plenty of wildlife. Most paths are stroller or wheelchair friendly, others...More

This amazing area has numerous walking paths, and the centre itself is quite the inspired building... Its spaciousness allows, encourages groups of children to discover, explore different aspects of nature. Don't forget to go up to the rooftop.

While this centre could benefit from more interactive areas in the building, we did learn a lot about snakes as we watched one about to shed its skin. It seemed light on the displays for younger children.

This facility is geared to children. There is a large space but not much in it. We enjoyed the bird calls exhibit and the whole eco-building. There are paths outside to explore.

A good place to take the kids for a couple of hours. Not a huge place but convenient to Fort Whoop-Up and the Bridge.

I took my two grandsons there a couple weeks ago. It was not busy at all. There was not much in the way of information imparted by the hosts--they were busy chatting behind the desk. A pity.. the boys were very interested.

The walk along the grounds and the centre are very pleasant on a nice, not so windy southern Alberta day. Don't see this on a cold, very windy day.

The Helen Schüler is a great place to visit with children. You can see Sophie, a gopher snake; Jerry, a toad; and a salamander in the building. There are educational exhibits and a gallery room. The building is beautiful and eco, too. Climb the stairs...More

I love how some cities manage to maintain a little piece of nature and keep it for those that want or need to be closer to nature. We strolled through this area after a memorial service reaping the sounds of wildlife and water. Lethbridge has...More

There is an indoor area with a variety of interactive displays that are interesting. It is not large, though, and there could be school groups there. Summer may offer more variety.
