Sunwapta Falls is a nice place to visit but we didn't stay long. We found it didn't take long to see what we wanted to see there.

Very pleased to have visited this spectacular sight. Strong elemental feeling of the majesty of nature in the rushing water and how it has carved its way through the landscape. Relaxing tranquility amongst it all. Nice spot for a picnic too.

Though not quite as elaborate and picturesque as Athabasca, Sunwapta is nevertheless a great sight not to miss if you have some spare time. The falls are very close to the parking lot, and the attraction was not nearly quite as busy as Athabasca when...More

Quite a spectacular rush of water that really impressed my husband who is extremely hard to impress. There are two falls. We walked through the forest to the lower falls which are just as beautiful as the upper falls. This may not be so spectacular...More

Definite must when travelling from Banff to Jasper. Just south of Jasper so it would be an easy few hour round trip including the walk from there. Busy place in the summer.

The whole area is spectacular! The falls are magnificant! Great photo opportunities so don't miss it if you are in the area. You need a light jacket even in August.

The first time we stopped couldn't find parking early in the day. Second visit on the way to Jasper from ice fields almost had the place to ourselves. Falls are right off parkway. Absolutely beautiful must see stop along theparway

Don't miss these falls right off the Ice Fields Parkway. The rushing water is amazing to see. It is definitely worth a stop for an hour or so.

Yes, you drive right through the area. The visitor's center is across the highway from the glacier.
