The glacier tour was amazing. It was definitely a must see in the Banff/Jasper area. Make sure you bring a sweater because it is cold on the ice. We drank the beautiful clear water flowing in the glacier as well. My kids loved it too!

The centre is well organised well staffed with people from around the world. The car park got a little crazy at about lunch time. So I'd recommend aiming for a morning-ish visit if you can. Loads of bus tours come in. The language barrier becomes...More
A fun few hours and you actually learn something about our environment. The staff are awesome and used to handling tourists. The glacier experience is worth doing at least once in your life.
Parked here, bought tickets then shuttle ride to the Skywalk. Family is travelling to Jasper that day and have decided to stop by. There are 2 spots for parking, each side of the building. Found a parking immediately. Bought a ticket for the Skywalk. From...More
I feel very blessed to live around 4 hours driving from the Columbia Icefields. Everytime I get closer and closer to the ice. Now, if you don't have the health to hike up to the mountain there are buses running up and down as per...More
This is more of a changing of vehicle place than a visitors centre, everyone stops here to have lunch & use the restrooms. One restaurant seemed to cater for Asian tours so everyone else ends up in the self service mayhem restaurant all trying to...More
We took advice from friends and didn't spend the $400+ for our family of four to go for a walk on the glacier. Instead we spent the $100 to walk out on the glass-floored skywalk, which was a unique experience. The driver's mike was malfunctioning...More
You walk in having parked up in bus bays which is confusing in itself, to then have to walk around the building to get in? The queues are not sign posted and nobody seems to know what is going on. You cannot book any excursions...More
We stopped and did the skywalk, didn't bother with the glacier, as this was the end of our trip, maybe we were "glaciered out" but there was something about looking across at the glacier and seeing all the cars driving up to it and then...More
We went there to book our tickets for the Icefield Adventure and was serviced by an awesome French lady :) I have forgotten her name! But she was great. We did go into the self-service restaurant in the search of water, but all they had...More
