After we visited the Rutherford House, we decided to walk on the campus of the University of Alberta. We enjoyed walking on this campus. There were a lot of students on the run, even though it was Friday late afternoon. I enjoyed seeing all these buildings, some nicer than others, some newer compared to the olden buildings. Some of them... More

Great school, but even a nice spot for walk...may spot wild rabbits roaming around campus. Also, perfect spot for watching fireworks on Canada Day.

The University of Alberta is a very nice campus in Edmonton; it is extremely walkable. All students and faculty I came across were extremely friendly and open. It is definitely worth spending some time on campus if in Edmonton.

A beautiful campus conveniently located in a downtown setting. Take a tour and be impressed. LRT accessible right on campus, incredible library, lots of eating options, and a generally friendly place. You won't be disappointed. High school graduates take notice. Study options are varied and comprehensive, and of the profs that I had a chance to speak with, a seemingly... More

a much quieter campus than it used to be now that the traffic kept to the outskirts of the main campus area. Wonderful old buildings like Athabasca Pembina and Assiniboine Halls (the U of A is over 100 years old) mixed with unfortunate 1960s and 1970s architecture (Education) places and some wonderful new buildings like Timms Centre all create a... Travel out to Camrose for a rural campus experience. How about a francophone experience at Campus St Jean just off Whyte Avenue? Downtown - the Enterprise Square building, right on the light rail transit, is the historic Hudson Bay Building. North campus on the Saskatchewan River is a fantastic walkable campus with great facilities. Parking you say? There are multiple... More

Don't go to the U of A planning on finding parking - there is none. And when you get there vis transit, don't expect to be able to easily find your way around. There is a lack of maps and directions. All the buildings more or less look the same. Not sure how many students are wandering around lost .... More

The University has modernized a lot since I worked there, but it is still very nice with lots of greens for walking.

My family members all studied at the U of A. It is one of the top universities in Canada. The campus is huge and full of charm from mixing old architectures and modern buildings. To me, the life at Hub Mall was the most memorable. The building itself is unique and one of a kind: a combine of students' housing... More

The whole University sits on a huge footprint of older and new buildings, gardens and green space and is well laid out for walking around. Downside is that parking is expensive.
