About
The majestic Legislature is one of the most iconic buildings in Edmonton and a must see when you are in the city! Built in 1912, in the Beaux Arts style, the Legislature is the seat of the government in the province. Friendly and knowledgeable tour guides are always pleased to take you on a free tour and introduce you to Alberta's legislative process (registration required). Just north of the Legislature, you will find the Legislative Assembly Visitor Centre. The centre is home to the Borealis Gallery, Pehonan Theatre and Capital Gifts shop. The Legislature site is a hub of activity throughout the year, the grounds being some of the most beautiful and picturesque in the area.

    ALBERTA HISTORY
The tour guides are well trained and have the knowledge and information to share. The building though external surrounding areas are under renovations, the building itself is beautiful. Good historical information of Alberta's leadership through the years.

    Thoroughly enjoyable tour
Beautiful building and grounds - such a contrast to most of downtown Edmonton. Tour and guide - sorry can’t remember his name but a knowledgeable and entertaining young man with a great easy delivery - were great. Recommend this to everyone.

A must see if you're in Edmonton
Awesome experience. Incredibly knowledgeable guide, Ron, made this so interesting that I think almost anyone would enjoy this tour If you're in Edmonton and are looking for something to do for an hour then this is something that you should 100 percent consider. It's free, doesn't eat up too much time and is really interesting. Not to mention the building is absolutely stunning to see.

The tour is excellent! One hour Fells too short to really go through the history and details of the building.

The tour guide is wonderful!

Amazing place. Loved the history of Alberta, how it was named, how it grew. Most amazing part was the visit to assembly. It was such an enhancing experience.

Every thing is good. I learned a lot about Congress during this trip. Tourguider is very cheerful and caring, dedicated. When the payment machine didn't work, the guy even gave me the symbol of Alberta, I was very touched by this.
