I like La Cite venue for seeing plays- it's a small theatre so there are no bad seats.Cafe Bicyclette is very nice and the Sunday farmer's market is small but quaint. Watch for events there.

In the heart of the French 'Quartier', La Cité is the home a little jewel, Café Bicyclette. Bistro-style restaurant, great-tasting coffee, short menu but boasting fresh and tasty ingredients. They offer Saint-Viateur bagels, hands-down the best bagels in North America (they won blind-tasting contests in...New York!) A winning mix of French and French-Canadian cuisine. And the patio is fabulous, protected... More

My son and his wife held their wedding at this venue in February of 2016. The facility and grounds are exceptional. The catering however and customer service they experienced throughout the entire planning up to and including their wedding day, was sub-par to say the least. Their coordinator - Gisele, was simply inefficient. Whenever they queried anything, she would simply... More

La Cite is the heart of the French Quarter where the language is spoken everywhere you turn...restaurants, shops and on the street. The unique building houses, cafes, administration offices and a lovely theatre where Francophone plays and events take place constantly. The lay of the land makes it a pleasant place to have a coffee and relax outside on the... More
