Esker Foundation connects the public to contemporary art through relevant, accessible, and educational exhibitions, programs, and publications. Esker Foundation reflects on current developments in local, regional, and international culture; creates opportunities for public dialogue; and supports the production of ground-breaking new work, ideas, and research. Founded in 2012 by Jim and Susan Hill, Esker Foundation is a new model for institutional relevance, curatorial focus, and audience engagement. Admission is free. Complimentary parking in the building.

It was odd, but interesting. Art doesn't seem to be Art very much anymore. Art should inspire in some way, my spirit lies dormant when seeing what often passes for art now.

Unfortunately the Gallery was closed because they were hanging a new exhibition but we were impressed with the building and we're able to see some of the artwork hanging in the hallways.

Well worth going to see whatever they are exhibiting. Not art for everyone, but always well curated, with excellent explanations. This is not just modern art, but contemporary, and definitely futuristic art. Many of the artists are ahead ot their times.

Although I didn't much like the current exhibition, the gallery itself was a great space, and clearly flexible. It desperately needs to be better promoted, though - my family, who live in Calgary, only got to hear about it because my mother was taken there...More

What a lovely hidden gem! Interesting, thought-provoking art in a quiet, uncrowded building with parking on street or parking garage. It was worth the stop!
