This is a very interesting park in SE Calgary. It is a constructed wetlands, built to naturally treat some of Calgary's storm water, the water that is collected from streets and roads. There's lots of water, and therefore lots of birds. Regrettably, they have only two or three little trails for walking near the water, so most of the ponds... More

Here is a state of the art building situated in a incredible marshland. It's just east of Stoney Trail Road S.E. Your take 114 Ave SE East to 84 Street SE Go south 1 Km Look for 12350 84 St. on the property markings. Drive the paved road into the facility. The various water birds I seen was amazing. Spend a rainy but enjoyable morning enjoying the birds. The city of Calgary has done a great job with this wetland project. Not only is a great venue it cleans the city storm water to help keep the Bow river healthy. It is great place to spend an hour or two and it's FREE

Calgary's newest Park, a manmade water park which treats storm water before it enters the Bow River. Go for a walk along the river, read the information panels, marvel at the fountain that re oxygenates the water, tour the "green" building, learn more about water conservation. It was quiet the Saturday we went there. We followed the trail along the... More

I enjoyed our visit to this park. We really felt the lack of binoculars, as we could see a bevy of swans in the distance. You can see many miles in all directions as this is a flat prairie with native plants and very few trees. We brought a picnic lunch and ate at one of the tables on the... More

My wife and I were married here in September 2014. We couldn't of asked of anything better. The staff at RKP were so helpful and professional at setting this up. We also chose Hotel Arts to cater it and we were so pleased. Everything was perfection, from our roof top ceremony to the reception inside to the dinner. We even... More

If you're looking for a nice open space in Calgary's deep South to fly a kite, or enjoy the breeze, or go for a walk then this is a good place to go. The educational centre and building are interesting to look at and it's cool to climb up to the top and enjoy the view, or do some yoga.... More
