Tucked away on a corner of an old army base is an excellent, modern museum exploring the military history of Alberta. Formerly the Museum of the Regiments, it has expanded considerably and now has galleries about the RCAF and RCN. The four galleries on the infantry regiments of Calgary are very well done, outlining the raising of each and their... More

We've been to a number of similar museums, but none that so well depicted the human impact of war. The mannequins and war scenes had a lot of impact. Everything was well displayed and hosts were helpful. Very interesting!

I just spent the afternoon with my 10 year old son at the military museum. The exhibits are great and have been presented very well - to show historical military details to young and old. My son liked the full size jet displays the most. I enjoyed learning more about the founding of the regiments based in Calgary. Well worth... More

I have driven by this museum for 12 years and never stopped in, I was missing out, they have fantastic exhibits, and so much information I will need to go back. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. If I could leave any suggestions for management. I would really love to see something hands on for the kids under 8 and perhaps... More

I have been to this museum a few times now, and I find it is very educational for everyone especially for the younger generation to learn about and appreciate what the men and women of the Canadian forces have done to allow Canada to remain free. There is always something different every time I revisit . Definitely a must see... More

This museum does not glorify war but brings you near the conditions our brave armed forces members saw. It has so many fascinating exhibits and truly is quite remarkable. I was so impressed and moved by the detail. It is a MUST SEE for visitors and residents alike.
