Don't waste your time searching this out. If you're in the area for shopping, dining, drinks or a run, and happen to pass by it, maybe take 10 seconds to read the plaque, go hmmph! and carry on with your day.

This smoke stack is a smoke stack. Or rather, it was a smoke stack. Now it's just a bunch of bricks. It's quite stacky, but not very smokey. Can't wait to visit it again.

The possibility that a downtown heritage structure could be moved to make way for redevelopment is raising concerns.

Haven't been for a long time but it's good to see something old remain in Calgary> I have been told that the Eau Claire area is set for rejuvenation and hopefully this will be in this renovation.

...if you are visiting Eau Claire you cannot miss the Smokestack. It is monumentally different and beautiful remainder of some old times at this very place.

...a reminder of Calgary's industrial past. If you're walking by fast and not looking up, you can miss it. Makes for an interesting picture. Nice brick work! If you're coming down to Eau Claire, check it out, otherwise, don't waste your time.

The original smokestack of Eau Claire lumber. Designated heritage site. A good place to meet up with friends.

Good food! Pricey, but if you appreciate a tasty bit of Veggie food you'll pay :). Friendly Canadian service with a smile. Would recommend!
