A visit to remember. The Glenbow represents historical and contemporary life in Alberta and Canada. Membership is well worth the price, but one day rates are still good. Parking in Calgary is another story.

Do not miss this exhibit! at the Glenbow until May 21, 2018. We have seen the Bayeux Tapestry which served as the artist's inspiration, and this work is more than worthy in its own right. The history of oil from the age of dinosaurs to...More

Glenbow's diverse collection represents art, history and human creativity from our own backyard and around the world. Explore more than 600 photographs taken by Geraldine and Douglas Moodie in Glenbow's online Archive Catalogue.

Went as a chaperon with a bunch of kids. Excellent exhibits and knowledgeable guides. Very happy that the attractions were setup to be studied with school curriculum.

Five exhibitions all worthy of time. In particular, the 60 metre Black Gold Tapestry; the Eye of the Needle and the Lauren Harris pictures are captivating.

When I was in Calgary for the business trip, I was hesitant whether Alberta was a place of history or not... BUT the museum was well maintained and was a tourist attraction

We recently returned to visit the Glenbow, which we had been to many years ago with our children. We saw the temporary Geraldine and Douglas Moodie Arctic photo exhibit and the Monkman painting exhibit while there. Both were well worth seeing. The Glenbow has rotating...More

It may not be as large as the ROM but this is still an absolutely outstanding museum. The installations change regularly and there is an excellent amount of history and artwork on display. This is a place that must be seen when in Calgary.

Beautiful museum pieces here- we enjoyed the different asian pieces that were borrowed. What a treat spending the day with my daughter seeing art old and new. The interactive pieces were also fun. We would come again.

2016's Beaver Hall group exhibit drew me back to our city's museum, a place I had previously "experienced" as a chaperone to an antsy Grade 4 class. This fall's provocative Kent Monkman exhibit got me in the doors again, this time with a colleague. We...More

I would say a minimum of 3hours. We really didn't allow long enough, just a couple of hours before catching our flight ! There are a number of thought provoking exhibitions and we really wanted to sit and reflect! Enjoy!

I saw a school tour and no daily listed tour. Group tours are available after booking ahead. Strangely enough, fees for group tours are higher than for solo visitors, $20 v. $16. Hope info helped.
