Was one of those off the cuff moments when we decided to visit this museum. Was a well worth while visit as an introduction to our drive up and down the Rockies. Full of interesting exhibits and art projects. Make sure you see the Leaping...More

The Glenbow museum, located in a spacious building adjacent to the Marriott Hotel in city center is a first rate art and cultural museum relating to the history of Canada in general, and Alberta and First Nation people in particular through transient and permanent displays...More

Nice museum with friendly staff. We spent almost 3 hours here without reading all the labels. Interesting exhibits. Pretty hard to find the entrance, though. Go in any of the doors that say "Glenbow" but that look like they're going into the convention center and...More

Looking for a way to spend an afternoon in Calgary, we decided to spend some time at The Glenbow. I expected an art museum, my friend a natural history museum. We were both right - but her more than me. There is a small art...More

Before I visited this museum, I thought I would spend at most 2-4 hours in it. Eventually I spent a total of 10 hours there! Surely that was an overkill for most people; however, it cannot be denied at any rate that the Glenbow Museum...More

This Museum was much larger and more extensive than I expected. You can only park on the street until 3:30 and we did not get there until 2:00. An hour and a half was not nearly enough time. The gems in Mineral exhibit is fantastic....More

This is a great collection of art, Canadian history, and even natural history (there is a great rock and mineral exhibit). It took me about 2-3 hours to get through. It was reasonably priced, and the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful.

A lot of information regarding the natives. Overall very informative. However, i like the city walking tour which is gathered every Wednesday morning right in front of the museum door, which has nothing to do with the museum at all

Spent a wonderful afternoon here, the highlight was definitely "Shame & Prejudice: aStory of Resiliancy" by Kent Monkman, highlighting the shameful way First Nations people have been treated in Canada. The rest of the museum is well laid out, and very informative.

I would say a minimum of 3hours. We really didn't allow long enough, just a couple of hours before catching our flight ! There are a number of thought provoking exhibitions and we really wanted to sit and reflect! Enjoy!

I saw a school tour and no daily listed tour. Group tours are available after booking ahead. Strangely enough, fees for group tours are higher than for solo visitors, $20 v. $16. Hope info helped.
