We bought the tickets for the gondola and the clerk said we couldn't walk around much but what she didn't tell us was it didn't go the whole way to the top of the mountain. If we had known we wouldn't have bought the tickets....More

Fantastic ride. Beautiful view. Courteous and understanding (for those a little squeamish with the ride/height) staff, Nice hike/walk at the top. A must do.

We had planned to take the gondola and eat on the mountain but every restaurant were closed (they opened in the middle of June). Only one restaurant was opened at the foot of the mountain and was rather expensive in my opinion (value wise). But...More

We checked their website before we went and they reported sight of bear the previous day. It was cloudy down there, but as the gondola ascend, the cloud became snow. With the wind blowing, it was fairly code. Of course, there was no bear in...More

May 12 was the first day the summer gondola was operating. It's been a long winter this season, heaps of snow still and because of that the walks at the top of the mountain weren't open. But the gondola ride was great - even though...More

We were told before going there that the Lake Louise would be a tear drop. We did see it. Fascinating! A buffet lunch included, nice! Didn't get to see bears that's okay. Wonderful experience.

The gondola ascends the mountain across the Bow valley from Lake Louise, as part of the ski area. It's not very close to Lake Louise as the name might imply although Chateau Lake Louise and Lake Louise are visible far across the valley. Nevertheless, the...More

If one buys tickets online in advance does that allow for priority in line? We would be there on June 30th, so I am imagining it will be busy.

I doubt that there would be such kind of thing, allow for priority in line, because it is not necessary. We went there last July. It was not so busy, I would say. This year, it probably would be different, but I don't think... More
