Can ride up and down in either an open lift chair or enclosed gondola. Great views of the surrounding area and a short walk to a wonderful interpretive centre or a shuttle you can take there if necessary.

The open chairlift was a great change but you can take a gondola if you prefer. A beautiful long ride amongst the trees. We saw a grizzly mum with her 2 cubs making her way down the hill. At the top is a resteraunt and...More

First off they don't tell you that the lift does go to the top of the peak, just mid peak. Views were ok , because of smoke from BC fires drifting in. Didn't see any bears along the ride up and down.

We paid 90.00 cad for two adults and one child to go up in the lifts. You can ride the ski lift or the closed in gondola style. We didn't see any bears that day...too bad! You can only ride up once as your ticket...More

I enjoyed the gondola up the mountain with great views of Lake Louise and it's surrounds. Particularly liked seeing the Aussies working there - hi Tassie Jasmine - beer at the top of the lift was a no-brainer. But no Bears. Positives are that a...More

We took the open lift, to maximize experience. You can do the closed gondola if more comfortable. We got to see two black bear on the way up! Quite a thrill, given the safe distance up in the air! The views on the top are...More

We went in a gondola instead of the chair lift, but I would have liked to have experienced the life as well. We visited in June when there was no skiing, but it was still a fun time nonetheless. It's a nice 15-minute ride up,...More

It was a nice relaxing ride. Recommend open seating. The view going towards Lake Louise was the best. Wish you could sit and enjoy once up to top but not a lot of seating. There's a restaurant there too but we didn't walk down to...More

Gondola ride up is breathtaking, we were here while there were bush fires around so a bit smoky but even that didn't matter as you could still get great views. Had a drink at the top bar overlooking Lake Louise then took the chair lift...More

They start & finish at the same place with the same ticket & I was very brave (though it's not scary) and went up on the open ski lift, maybe wait till you get there & see how the weather is? I think you get...More

Hi, To the best of my knowledge, I don't recall getting priority in line. There was one line that forms. The advantage is that you don't have to stand in the ticket line on site. :)
