We stayed on the lake for a few nights with older teens and were able to enjoy Lake Louise at busy and non busy times of the day. To best enjoy its beauty step into a canoe or onto the nearby trails, away from the...More

It was my first time out west and I was told that Lake Louise was a must see, so we braced ourselves and ventured over, even on the August long weekend. It was very well run despite the crowds that were visiting due to Canada...More

Come for the view, spend the day to appreciate it all. Canoeing in the lake was a real highlight. Hiking is beautiful. Eat at the lakeside restaurant to soak it all in. Don't rush the time... Let the history of the place envelope you.

We were there on a light, snowy day in June. We walked a few of the trails. That was nice. Even in the bad weather, it was wall to wall people! Not my kind of nice. The next morning we walked back over to that...More

Walker from the Fairmont up to The mirror lake and up to lake Agnes. A great leisurely walk will take around 1 1/2 hours up and 40 minutes down. 2 ways up. The left being a little steeper. Or up one side and down the...More

Very beautiful lake that is best visited early or late in the day. We were able to get parking in August in the main lot by arriving prior to 10 AM or after 5 PM. You definitely want to hike out on the lake trail...More

What fun it was to go around the lake. My wife really loved it. It felt very safe to us, no problem with what we could see around the lake. So beautiful is the water color, they say the color does come from the ice....More

Very pretty lake with easy walking trails. We did not see any major animals while walking around the lake. The paths were crowded with sightseers. There are canoes for rent. Sunsets are spectacular.

Dealing with the traffic and people is most worth the trip to Lake Louise. Catch the shuttle if it is open to avoid headaches. The canoe rental is definitely worth doing if you have the time! The scenery is breathtaking and there is mega hiking...More

Hi Annette ... There are canoe rentals at the boathouse on the west shore of the lake. However, life jackets are a must when you are canoeing, especially with children. It is a great experience, but I would ask at the... More
