We visited Lake Louise on my friend's birthday, so that we could go canoeing. It was $105 per canoe for one hour, $95 for a half hour. Just walk up to the boat house, and they will take your $, help you into your life...More

We had a little bit of off weather but even with that it was just breathtaking. The canoes are quite expensive at around $60 an hour I think and there didn't seem be a discount for hotel residents. But just sitting and looking was worth...More

What to add to a place with so many reviews? It's beautiful and iconic. The area around the foot of the lake away from the mountains is very developed, although it is tastefully done. For convenience that's nice, for isolation in nature, not so much....More

A must see this place is incredible with the color of the lake backing up to the glacier in the back drop. This is a bucket list must see.

The lake and the setting is beautiful. You need to see it to fully appreciate it. Just go! Even if you are not a guest at the hotel you can have afternoon tea and just gaze out over the transfixing scene. Well worth the money...More

It's hard to come to Banff and not visit Lake Louise. It's beautiful and, therefore, it attracts throngs of people. If you can, come early in the morning during the week to get parking.

This is a beautiful lake with several hiking paths leading from it. You can also just take the easy trail around the lake. Get there early if you want a parking spot. There is also a shuttle bus you can take but then your time...More

This lake and the mountains that attend it are beyond special. Travelers in the neighborhood must see this beautiful sight or forever regret it. The view are better than Lake Como in Italy and many of the mountain lakes in Switzerland and Austria. Parking can...More

Hi, I am planning to travel with a 6 and a 9 years old and interested to rent a canoe and paddle around the lake. However, am not experienced in paddling, will that be a risky move? As well, will there be a website for the rental company? and where does it locate?

Hi Annette ... There are canoe rentals at the boathouse on the west shore of the lake. However, life jackets are a must when you are canoeing, especially with children. It is a great experience, but I would ask at the... More
