One has to visit in the mid day with bright sun light to be able to appreciate the color and stunning view at Peyto Lake. You can see glacier on one end, Snow cap mountains and a long wide opaque Jade colored lake. Must stop!

Well worth the visit. As with all of the lakes in the area, it's incredible. The hike to the overlook is a must do and will not disappoint.

Probably will be but just check out the weather report for that area. We were there in October and it was slightly snowy and very icy.

I believe that access to the viwpoint is open as long as the road is open. The best way to check if the road to Bow summit is open would probably be on Alberta 511
