A nice view point of the falls and mountains on the edge of the townsite. The trail is closed in winter.

The usual beautiful scenery that waterfalls and rivers are famous for . Having said that we did not want to miss out on seeing this place even on a tight schedule .

It's a fun hike and you can never go wrong with being outdoors while in Banff. The falls themselves weren't that great but walking along the Bow River is a stunning walk.

We took the opportunity to walk this pathway as soon as we arrived in Banff on a wonderfully sunny day. It was so beautiful with the sound of the rushing waters and very well maintained. There are warning signs regarding bears and cougars and you...More

Beautiful falls and river right next to the wonderful Fairmont Hotel. I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to visit the Fairmont and maybe have a glass of wine in the historic hotel.

Always amazed at the beauty of Bow Falls almost in the heart of Banff - when we were there no crowds and very serene with the falling water.

We took our bikes through the town of Banff thru to Bow Falls. The Falls are very pretty to see in the bright sun with the rainbow effects it casts. The water is very cold even though the air temp in July/August can reach 30C....More

We took a tour of Bow Falls and the sound of the waterfalls mesmerized us all. The scenery was spectacular and the surrounding area with the changing colors of the Aspen and Larch trees make it a photographers dream.

The paths are almost all paved and with built in steps so not steep at all but you need to be okay with stairs. About a 3 minute drive to the parking lot from centre of town.
