This is a beautiful waterfall just outside the town of Banff. It can be viewed from the roadway or you can hike up to it. Apparently ice climbing of the falls is possible.

I have seen this waterfall many times while driving in the area. I finally decided to stop and see if I can get up to the waterfall. It is uphill all the way but if you don't want to walk up, this is not for you. The view is amazing and there are many spots to just stop and take... More

This is a reasonable 20 minute walk. If water level is low, walk along the water's edge most of the way and take the shaded trail back. Much to see along the way. Great views of the lake from higher up at points.

This is RIGHT off of the TransCanada Hwy at the exit for Banff. Easy hike, but it is a little steep. Great view of the mountains all around , and a nice waterfall to see. Nice way to spend 1 hour.

Lovely to see and easily accessible. Part of an excellent explore Banff tour with Brewster Travel Canada. Good day tour of this, gondola and other sites in the Banff area.

We were visiting the area in June and drove by Cascade mountain almost daily from Canmore. We could see the falls from the road and on our last day I suggested we just turn off and go check them out. We ended up parking at the base and hiking up a very steep incline (it is a mountain after all)... More

Beautiful fall which surely must have a large volume during summers when more snow melts. I imagine it would be a lot of fun to visit during peak summers.

This is an easy bus ride from Banff central. It suddenly emerges without warning and is very special..

Beautiful waterfall in a great park. We love looking at it and hearing the sounds of the water as it rushes down the rocks. During the spring melt or after a rain is the best time to visit to see the most amount of water falling. However, it is always a lovely place to stop and unwind in nature.
