We happened upon the gardens and took a break from the rushing around of touring and enjoyed the grounds with all the flowers, ponds, and beautiful landscaping. These gardens are very tranquil and well planned. We were amazed at the beautiful variety of flowers and that they were mostly all in bloom given that we were there in September which seems late in the flowering season for us from the Eastern part of the US. If horticulture is in your interest, this is a must see.

Stopped here on our Brewster City Tour and the gardens are worth a 20 min. stroll. In full bloom, and well designed with unusual burl wood gazebos around. Glad we stopped, and Mark and Simon had a refreshment waiting for us as we got back on the coach - much appreciated!

This is a lovely old building in the midst of Banff but the surrounding landscaping is beautiful. Many people tour the grounds and take pictures including wedding and special occasion pictures. A very relaxing stroll

One would believe based on information that the Banff National Park Admin Building is the primary location of the Cascade of Time gardens. It's not. They are separate and divided by a paved walkway.
the exterior of the building is interesting and perhaps worth a walk around. However, when we were there in early October, the large fountain in front was apparently under some sort of excavation/reconstruction. What we saw was disturbed ground and basically an ugly area. There wasn't even a sign notifying visitors of what was going on there.
The interior of the building was closed, so we couldn't even go inside if we wanted to. Save yourself some time and go directly to the Cascade of Time Gardens further to the right and across the paved path.
We may have missed something here, but it didn't seem like there was much to see or do other than admire the building architecture outside itself.

We walked here in the evening and the actual building was closed. However, the gardens are exquisite and each one is more beautiful than the last one. We took awesome photos of the gardens. There was some other construction of various gazebos going on, but I would expect that construction to be completed by late September 2019.

Visited the PAB in Autumn and there was snow on the ground. However, we spent an hour strolling around the gardens and building enjoying the sights and soaking-up the atmosphere. Great vista from the lawn into Banff. Surreal photographs too! A visit in Spring is a MUST! Recommended.

The Parks Administration building looks like a Castel on an elevated point at the beginning of the main street. The gardens surrounding the building are well planned and well maintained.

Some interesting exhibits here on Parks Canada and Banff but nothing about the internment operations. It is as if they want the public to forget about how much of the road work, bush clearing and other hard labour done around here was performed by Ukrainians interned as "enemy aliens" at Cave & Basin and Castle Mountain during WW I - why?

We found this on a stroll. Very colorful and some very interesting plants. Some of the plant varieties are labeled, but unfortunately most are not. Note-just across the traffic signal
is a great shop with Canadian made moccasins.

This pristine building in the middle of Banff is striking. The gardens around it are beautiful. The Bow River adds to the perfect setting. All I could think was what an amazing historical building...a perfect setting for a national park headquarters. It is full of memories and history and local identity.
