If you have some spare time definitely take a stroll down Banff Avenue and take on the beauty of the town and mountains. Beautiful scenery but a very busy street so there is no time to take photos. Still a must do if you ask me.

A lot of different stores, many selling exactly the same items for nominally the same price. There are some more local shops that I would suggest checking out rather than looking at the same things over and over. If too much looks familiar, it's likely going to be the same stuff at every shop.

I've been down Banff Avenue many times in the summer and winter, it's a beautiful walk every time. There's many different stores, shops, and things to see. You can even walk by the river, which is quite beautiful as well.

There is nothing like banff ave at Christmas. Banff does a great job of providing a Christmas spirit in all. Lots of shopping, holiday decor and lights nestled in a quant lovely setting amongst the mountains.

A lovely street with some great buildings. Old and new melded together g8ves a cosy village feel. The views of the mountains makes for a great pic.

I could have walked in downtown Banff all weekend. They have the best outdoor shops with top of the line products. I loved Roots, Helly Hansen, Patagonia. Also there were endless cafes with coffee and treats. Venture out on the side streets as well. We caught a movie at the local theater with modern seats and amenities. Make reservations when... More

I love quaint little Main Street areas in small towns and Banff Ave definitely fits that description. With a variety of shops and products that exclusive to the area there is something for everyone. I jad a blast going in the different stores with my friends. Definitely check it out if you are ever in Banff.

Had planned to drive to Jasper and wanted to check real time road condition, so went to the Visitor Info Centre. They were very friendly and I believe its quite useful to visit them specifically during winters and road conditions change very fast if travelling for the 1st time in Banff during winters.

Remote and miles away from nearby Calgary and Lake Louise, Banff is a picturesque town, designed like the old town in Little House on the Prarie and The Waltons, but with a modern twist. The town is immaculately kept, clean, family friendly and full of weird and wonderful places, is a stretch of road that takes you up to other... More
