We left our motel which was directly across from Bow River and proceeded to hike the trail to Bow River Falls. It was a leisurely walk along the river stopping multiple times to take photos. Lots of viewing areas and we went early in the morning so no crowds. At the end was the Bow Falls which was a bonus after a very relaxing walk. There were deer along the way amazing scenery and just a great way to spend the morning.

This is a nice relatively flat trail along the river. if you already did a big hike or are looking for something easy this is for you. Nice views along the river. You can walk up a bit to Surprise Corner on 1 side and head back or continue on or on the other side head down to check out Bow Falls.

We used this trail on our way to Cascade of Time Garden from the Surprise Corner Viewpoint. The walk along the river was nice. There were directional signs and benches. Good trail for biking too. We were so happy when we reached the Pedestrian Bridge coz the view of the mountains was nice.

We did the Art in Nature trail along the Bow River. It was an easy walk with lots of interesting art in various forms! This is a gem!

Very easy & delightful trail. There are benches along the way to sit & immerse in the beauty. At the end is the Bow River is the Bow River Falls. There are some stairs to climb up & down but well worth the view. It's also the way to the rear of Fairmont Banff Springs.

Bow River is so unassuming. It had its own quiet and simple beauty which is why it was one of my favorite places in Banff. I was able to enjoy nature without the crowd and made me feel recharged to go on with the rest of the trip.
I can imagine myself reading a book or writing in this place. It was just really nice.

Easy to walk from the Vermillion lakes at the top end of town alongside the Bow river as far as the Bow falls. A very pleasant time away from the closeby bustle of Downtown Banff.

It's not actually a trail, but just a pleasant riverside walk. It connected to Hoodoos trail (if you descending from Tunnel Mountain Rd and to Fenland trail if you keep going northwest. The walk is about 1.5 km long, it starts from 565 Buffalo St and keeps riverside west to Banff Canoe Club.

Beautiful walk along Bow River Trail from Banff Central Park to Bow River Falls. The Art Walk was delightful with clever, fun sculptures & art to discover along the way, including jumping foxes, crystal & wood, & bears scratching the backs against the trees. A wonderful place for a morning stroll in a peaceful setting, suitable for the young, the old, and four-footed friends.

The walk from Banff alongside the Bow River to the Bow Falls is very beautiful and an easy trail to follow.
There are plenty of benches to sit on and take in the breath taking scenery!
Highly recommended if you have a few spare hours to use whilst in Banff.
