Pretty simple place, This place is called Crowfoot Glacier because the glacier used to be in the shape of a Crow's foot. Pretty clever right? But as most glaciers in Banff this one is receding quite quickly. And is only left with 2 our of 3 talons of a Crow's foot. Still very Beautiful, and just off the highway you... More

I just saw this from the coach I was on that was travelling on the Icefields Parkway. It is visually enticing, the more so due to the snow in its upper reaches. The road is a smorgasboard for the eyes, but due to the large influx of USA residents into Canada in 2016 thanks to the fall in the Canadian... More

We saw this glacier whilst travelling by coach in both directions along the Icefields Parkway. It is in the mountains above Bow Lake and is impressive in size and shape. The Crowfoot Glacier is yet another of the many examples of stunning scenery that can be seen along this route. Definitely worth including in a list of features to look... More

This large glacier can be seen from the Icefields Parkway and there isn't any need to stop unless you want to photograph it. There is a convenient view point and we thought that it was well worth taking a few minutes to look at it.

Crowfoot Glacier is a quick stop... You can do it in a drive by but you really miss how much the Glacier has receded..

There honestly isn't much there other than the glacier so a quick stop is more than enough. 10 minutes at most.

Keep your map handy as you travel north towards Jasper as the mountains/glaciers arrive very quickly and you don't want to not know what you are seeing. Crowfoot Glacier was our first which can be seen from the Icefield Parkway. You can also get a different angle from Bow Lake, which is just up the road

You can see the depth of the glacier, begin to understand how they work. Stunning scenery. View in two places from highway 93. Two crow feet now, used to be three apparently).

Crowfoot Glacier is one of the first glaciers you will see on the Icefield Parkway as you head towards Jasper. There are two views: on is from the viewpoint on the highway, and the other side of the glacier can be seen from nearby Bow Lake.

An easy stop on the road for a quick leg stretch and some beautiful views. The lake in the forefront, the trees and the glacier make some excellent photos and a perfect place to have a lunch with fresh air and. Jews.
