Overview
More
Sunshine Village sits high on the Continental Divide in the heart of Banff National Park, and is just minutes from the mountain town of Banff. Three sprawling mountains provide breathtaking sitelines, uninterrupted by any signs of civilization beyond the resort's leasehold. Ski or ride in Alberta and British Columbia in one run. Sunshine Village's seven-month season stretches from early November until late May - the longest non-glacial season in Canada. The Village's altitude of 7,082 feet ensures the snow stays dry. Sunshine can receive up to nine metres (30 feet) of snow in a season, and it stays all year.

What a fantastic place. We had already gone skiing in Lake Louise and this place was fantastic. We found the runs were shorter and easier with kids and those not expert at skiing. Easy to jump off onto a black diamond if you wanted. The...More

This is first time I visited Sunshine village for Ski and I loved it. It was super crowded and we had to leave our car way behind the resort and took the shuttle operated by the facility. Fresh powder snow, super friendly staffs, small restaurant...More

Francois was our leader on this free 3 hour ski tour at the blue black level. It was fantastic to ski long descents and connections to the other slopes and chairlifts. It was challenging but within our limits so we were very satisfied. Francois not...More

It really depends on the weather too and what time of year you are heading up there. But yes well worth the hike, stunning scenery! And yes, wear comfortable hiking shoes.
