Thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon there with 3 generations of our family. We are NT members so car parking was free. Acceptable toilets, cafe for a good range of hot drinks and a good choice of ice creams. Son (12) wanted to body board. The sea...More

This beautiful beach rarely gets busy even on a Sunny day mid August. Parking is free to National Trust members or £7 a day. Parking is right next to the beach soon carting kit for miles. Swimming off the beach is fun but beware the...More

We loved this beach with the different cliffs - stunning. Parking is 2 pounds for 2 hours. Cafe right there on beach... pricey but on a wet day go for it.

Nice beach, very long so plenty of space. It’s shingle and stone so if you want to walk make sure you have some good footwear or hardy feet!!! Dogs allowed, I think any time. Worth a visit, big car park, toilets and a lovely cafe.

Wonderful coast with mostly fine golden sands, sometimes a bit stony. keep well away from the cliffs, as they often fall and has caused deaths in the past. The beach was empty, have it all to yourself and walk for miles. The café was very...More

We stumbled upon Hive Beach and it was practically empty at 12 noon on a clear, sunny day. The cliffs are majestical and the beach itself is stunning but please, please, please wear the right shoes before you walk to the bottom of the cliffs....More

This is a Lovely beach but the dangerous cliffs need to be respected. Don't sit too close to them as rock falls are frequent and warning signs abound

The café was packed even at 10.30 in the morning and not very relaxing - prefer their sister cafe in West Bay - the Watch (?) where I thought the food was better also !

100% yes. The cafe and vast majority of the beach are (year round) dog friendly too - as are the beautiful cliff walks.
