Visited the museum on a whim after checking out the visitor centre. It is a really well-done snap-shot of local history, and some of the signal personalities and events associated with the area. If you are on Highway 3, take the time to stop in and see it.

Small town museums are hard to find, and this is a good one. Lots of interesting things to learn about this old mining town.

Greenwood, one the loveliest town in BC, for history lovers a must. This is where Canadian government had kept the Japanese in WWII. Beautifly documented their life, hardship, injustice. Many stayed after, now might see some beautiful young people with Japanese faces. As You finished the visit the bakery a block away, one of the best bakery in BC.

Very well done museum, price to get in was reasonable - cash only. The gal working there was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. What a great little town!

Because of time constraints, we only had a short time to spend at this museum but I highly recommend a stop here. The price of admission was low and the people working here were extremely friendly and very willing to share extensive information on the area. We'll be back!

We had heard about this museum from friends and decided on a trip through Greenwood to check it out and we certainly were not disappointed. The museum is full of interesting displays and it took us about an hour to walk through. The entrance fee is minimal and certainly worth the stop. I would go through again on my next... More

This smallest city in Canada has a fascinating history. It is described very well at the Museum/Information Centre and it worth the stop to learn about what you see virtually across the street. At one time the city was dominated by a huge smelter and filled with miners and their families, nearly all gone now. So stop and stretch your... More
