lovely friendly staff; what differentiates from other museums are the great hands-on experiences where you are allowed to use old equipment; also great are the many events and activities, e.g. amazing Viking displays etc

Spend an hour, a day or even a week here. It's fabulous, there's a huge amount to see and things to do. Buy an annual pass, great value and you'll use it often. Great place for all ages with friendly, helpful staff

We visited for the 1940s weekend, and also showed our classic cars at a show they had. Lots to see and do, great cake and tea rooms and lots of interesting exhibits.
