Xochitl's is a hidden gem of a restaurant. JJ's patio is a great place to watch the fishermen bring in their catch of the day.

A nice town near rocky point. But no restaurants or services Beach is nice but the real feature is the tides. Looks like they go out a mile Nice Catholic Church in the town. Road is mostly dirt. But easy to access from sandy beach...More

If you're planning on swimming and what not, this is not it. So many rocks make it hard for young children to walk and enjoy. The name is Las conchas though, meaning the sea shells. Definitely fun to just chill by the beach though, tan...More

Caught somewhere between 67' hippies, margaritaville, and regular homes. We live further south west. Much nicer.

If you drive past the beach condos and keep on going you will reach Cholla Bay. This is a really small beach town and mostly occupied by private beach homes. There is only a few bars and restaurants which is good and NO hawkers or...More

We arrived when the tide was extremely low so there were many hidden tide pools full of animals and colorful shells to explore. We rented a 4x4 at the marina and headed to cholla for a wonderful afternoon of fun. Lots of locals and tourists...More

Drove out here after reading Tripadvisor. This is our very first visit to Puerto Penasco so wanted to check out all the place has to offer. This is a charming, understated fishing village....loved the simpleness of the environment. Saw dauphins feeding near the shore with...More

We drove this area looking for a nice beach and didn't find one. We did find hard access areas and lots of rocks. check your tide chart before going but if you're looking for a beach this may not be the palace for you.

Hi, We are new to Tucson and being from Hawaii we totally miss the beach, being that we have never been to Mexico, could you possibly give us some insight on what to expect on the trip...Do we need a passport to go?... Are there hotels in which my family can rent for the weekend....Do we really need to dread all the negativity we have heard about visiting Mexico? I mean we have heard great things as well as some things that would have me concerned.
