I had not heard good things about this zoo so I had never gone but after hearing it was indeed open and a good place for me to walk I took my mother-in-law there. We enjoyed it so much. There were signs on a lot of the plants stating the name. There were lots of animals from all over the world. The walk even without animals was beautiful Sonoran desert terrain. Most of the animals had decent habitats, they even had a puma birth there a few months ago. It was easy to follow the signs to know which way to go. There were benches to rest and lots of shade. We were the only visitors there on a Tuesday so the food counters weren't open but they had a couple of vending machines. There were restrooms as well. I will definately return, on a day when the Safari ride is open and encourage you to visit too. A deal at only $60 pesos a person (about $3 U.S. dollars).

Went with the wife and the kid, had a very good time on the Safari, animals are very separated one of the others, maintenance seems to be completely absent, some animals even seem to suffer. The hard seats on the safari trip worth the payment and feeding "Pancho" the giraffe was a great experience for us and the kid since Pancho grabs the food when you are not offering it and surprised a bunch of kids. The rest of the safari included hyenas, turtles, lions, ostriches and a bunch of African animals right out side the cart.

You'll do plenty of walking here. The pads are concrete and mostly not shaded, so come early during hot months. But there are plenty of shared places to sit. Besides the animals, there are lots of desert plants.

I wasn't expecting much from this place, since it does not have much marketing.

I was there on a Thursday at 1 pm, so it was almost empty, just a few more visitors there.

There is a good and wide selection of animals and fortunately you can see them all.

It is a long way to complete the whole park, but it is worth the while.

I recommend sun block or an umbrella, it might be too sunny there.

I would only ask that they put more signs and directions in the park.

If you cometo see a lot of animals you will be dissapinted, however, it seems like they are trying to improve everything. Things were in better shape and there were a little more animals than last time I went.
The Safari was really fun, but be careful with ostriches!

Safari was good, but every cages in the park... no animals. Fish tanks ... empty. It should be more clean and should have more animals...
