Amazing site. It would be better with a few more signs explaining what you are looking at if you don't go with a guide. Fairly new building and amenities that they seem to be trying to pay for very quickly... Very neat if you have...More

Our guide was excellent, from the area, his Dad was a coal miner in Joggins. There are quite a few steps to the beach and dress warmly, the morning we were there it was quite chilly.

Great day trip to the Fossil Cliffs and you just might find a fossil to take home. Wear comfortable shoes and be able to climb stairs to the shore. Museum is small but great and has a hands on section for kids to find fossils....More

Not a big science junkie but I do appreciate the significance of this site. This was the first place on earth that animals adapted from sea to land and able to walk and live on land. In the world....pretty crazy. But when you go there,...More

We had a nice 2 hour tour during early season so it was a "private" tour. Our guide, D-man was very good showing us fossils and things and helping us understand the history and development of Joggins Fossil Cliffs. We saw many different fossils, footprints...More

This is a great spot for anyone interested in history, geology or the beach. Worth the minimal cost to stroll through the info center and have a tour guide on the beach to learn about the fossils. This is a great experience for all ages.

Permits are for research purposes only not for tourists to collects fossils. Permits are issued by the Province of Nova Scotia not by the Joggins centre.

A good 2 hours drive. They are almost directly across Bay of Fundy and Chignecto Bay from each other.
